if u are using versions higher than 5065 u dont need to open the magictype.dat with a hex editor.

You have to decrypt it using a .dat cryptor if it's above 5065, then edit it,then re-encrypt it.
As stated it's not a very effective way of reducing hacks really... but it's better then nothing (small changes combine to make big differences I suppose)

I'm using 5165 , I got MagicType.dat and one .txt , but I think I need to edit the .dat file from client and server side., but no idea how! or , I need to edit the text one and crypt it? if yes?what tool to use?
Thanks for answering

I just told you...
use DatCryptor to decrypt the file, edit it and then re-encrypt it.
The tools are all public on the forum if you bothered to do a quick search.

Okay thanks for help

It won't stop aimbot anyways. If you are talking about SV, then it's based on click and not the skill id.

It won`t stop experienced hackers. A regular kid who`s trying to cheat a bit on a private server will fail to get the IDs for the spells or either get the aimbot to work. Imo, it`s better than nothing :/

Encrypting magictype.dat won't prevent nothing. It'll still be easy to get spell IDs.

If you want to do 'super easy protection' you're still best off doing a tad more work such as changing the encryption key and using one of the crappy client 'protections' sold or released all over 4b that makes the key a tad harder to retrieve.
That being said if you want any true protection (something that won't just take 10-20 min to get past) you'll have to do some far more serious work most likely involving assembly, memory injection or silent proxies to do more advanced things like custom skill/game/login encryption, scanning active programs and all sorts of other stuff.
aka NOT something you can just copy/paste and have working in a few minutes.
