[RELEASE] ndreg.xrg Editor

08/26/2011 23:18 saweet#1
This is for editing the server addresses in the ndreg.xrg file. Since many people have difficulty, hopefully this will make it painless. I was going to make a full editor but I realized the ndreg.xrg has a ridiculous (inconsistent) file structure. The rest doesn't matter anyway.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

Instructions
Step 1 The .exe and the ndreg.xrg must be in the same directory.
Step 2 Type in the status and login server address (ie: localhost-9d)
Step 3 Click Save

DO NOT change the patch server unless you know what you're doing.

I recommend clicking Backup to create a backup copy of the ndreg.xrg before you Save.

The status and login server are only what people need to edit if you intend on using one of the hacks. For 9Disciple you would use localhost-9d for both.

localhost-9d is the loopback address that I use for 9Disciple. It causes the game client to connect to that address instead of the official servers, 9Disciple will then connect to the official servers. In other words, 9Disciple acts as a proxy.

Like aljaz94 said, 9Disciple will not work. That does not mean that it can't, but each 9Dragons provider uses different packet encryption. This is why I release separate 9Disciple's for each provider.
