[How to] Play Vindictus outside of NA

Here is the Hackshield folder which you need if you want to play with Proxycap, there is no need to replace any files if you want to play with Proxyfirewall.

There are quite a lot of video Guides on Youtube already but i just prefer written Tutorials and so i thought i gonna make one for

the e*pvper users.

I'm currently playing this game and it's totally awesome and not like WoW and all these 1-2-3-4 click games out-there.

For all the people which don't know Vindictus it's a fancy Action MMORpg which is using the Source Engine.


What you gonna need to play Vindictus

NA:

1. The Game Client

I would recommend the official download.

2. Proxifier (detected) / Proxyfirewall / ProxyCap ver. 4.20 / AOL Method

- Detected!

- Works for win xp / Vista users but rarely for win7 users!

- AOL Method

- The 4.20 version works for me on win7 x64.

3. A working Proxy

And there are many other List over the Internet.

First step:

- Create an account here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

- Install the game and patch it up to the latest version.

- Install Proxyfirewall / ProxyCap ver. 3.24 / AOL Method and search for a working Proxy (Adress + Port + SOCKS Version).

Old Proxifier Guide which isn't working anymore:

ProxyFirewall
(Works with Windows XP, XP Pro, Win2K, Windows Server 2003, Windows VISTA and sometimes with Win7)

Actually this is the method i prefer because it works as good & as easy as Proxifier and with mostly no lag.:

- Download and install/patch Vindictus.

- Download Proxyfirewall (it's free to use at the moment because it is in a beta phase):

- Install Proxyfirewall and register it for free.

- Search for a decent proxy from one of the pages below in the Proxifier Tutorial and add it to the "Open Proxies" category.


- When Proxyfirewall starts it will ask for each process if you want to allow the process, block or if you want to use a Proxy for it. Just allow all of them for now.


- Start Vindictus, wait till you are at the log-in screen and put the proxy on like it is shown in the picture below (when you are in-game put the the Rule back to "allow")


- Now it should work and you are able to play again.

Otherwise you could try to download and install Proxycap Version 4.20 ([Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]) or the AOL Method ( [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...])

You should replace 2 files in your HShield folder if you want to run Proxycap:


Basically this is everything you need but of course a Proxy will lag you from time to time and might disconnect you from the Server, you just have to make sure to find a decent one or of course you can pay for one if you would like to.

One Tip to lag less, play solo or as Party leader it will help you a lot. As more people as more it may lag but i can play pretty smooth with up to 4 people in a Party.

Danke euch ^_^ Wird auch noch in Deutsch übersetzt.

Und falls irgendwas verbessert werden kann schreibt mir einfach und ich werde es ändern.

can't find a good proxy and there's no way i'm going to pay for one...

I always find a working poxy within 5 mins..btw they don't have to work when you check them just make sure the proxy is passing Test 2 and it will work (try that with Proxies which have the Port: 27977).

Ich bekomm immer einen DC im Startbildschirm, Proxy habe ich nach ~5 Minuten, aber dann komm ich nicht ins Spiel rein. Hast du vll. einen Tipp ?

1. Nimm einen proxy mit Port 27977 (er muss nur über Test 2 kommen dann funktioniert er zu 90%)

2. Stell sicher das die Vindictus exe. und url. hinzugefügt wurde.

3. Starte über die url und dann log dich über die Vindictus Homepage ein und klick dann auf start.

Müsste eigentlich ohne wirklich große Probleme laufen.

Bin jetzt Stufe 9 (Magier) und es macht richtig Spaß sich mit 2-3 Leuten durch die Dungeons zu kämpfen.
Wie wäre es mal mit einer kleinen Liste, wer wo spielt + Name ? :)

Ich spiel auf East weil dort einige meiner Freunde sind.
Ich finds gut das man so "schnell" levelt und es kein Premium gibt o: Sehr ausgeglichenes Spiel.

Naja möchte meinen Namen eigentlich nicht öffentlich hin schreiben wegen Ban und wenn ich meinen Acc verkaufen will könnte es auch zu problemen führen aber über PM gerne :)
