All msnmsgr does is forward/open a UDP port using the UPnP protocol. UDP ports are not used by any trojan or any type of windows shell that would allow access to your computer.
And FYI, any program connected to the internet bypasses your firewall, and in a sense, does the same thing as MSN. There is no threat from it because telnet (remote command-line interface) operates through the TCP protocol. Even if you leave that port open, there is no real threat by doing so.

Except for when you go to transfers files using MSN the 2 computers establish a direct link so you can see the other persons I.P. address, which for a person who likes to keep there privacy, and knows he's being targeted, is no good. From a I.P. address he's vulnerable to Smurf, DOS and LAND attacks,,, because even WITH a firewall it makes no diffrence with LAND attacks because the entire network speed is still affected ^^ with the same Vecna scan you can see if the persons using a Gnutella client by the listening port, and using a Telnet client you CAN comprimise a Gnutella P2P users computer security, the topic is discused at PacketStorm about the dangers of Limewire, Kazaa and Gnutella p2p Programs.

Then why not stop using the p2p programs while on MSN? Or simply use a web-messenger like [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
OR, just don't transfer files through MSN...

when i try to install venom i get microsoft error1601 disabling me from installing it how do i fix this

I have *M* multiclient already and still it wont work...... and i did follow all instructions... how come it wont work.... I already extracted the EgyCO-V3n0M-4357-Build1 to the conquer folder and i already downloaded and installed the required applications needed(.Net.......etc.) Am i the only person having this problem?

could you explain the autohunt feature? does it dc you on low dura? how do i get it to kill monsters, it just seems to warp from point to point

It doesn't DC on low Dura so be careful.

You have to use non range weapons with autohunt
it will warp you to the monsters exact location then hit it
with area weapons it is not that good,
so don't use clubs or hooks, use swords, blades, daggers, ....etc. any weapon wih no ranged area of attack will do.

I Always used to use Co2M8 for Autopot but I dont think it works with 4357 atm.

@ Peaple with Install problems, Please read the first page, its VERY Easy to install,,, if your Struggling your either not reading the first page properly or havnt the faintest idea how to edit server.dat and ini files correctly for your server, 80pc of posts in this thread ask the same qiuestion over and over and over and i sick of answering the same question cause peaple dont bother reading whats there already.

*Edit, yes it works for patch 4357 and it works with SS ^^

ok i have downloaded all needed progs...and extracted proxy to main co folder.Tried both .exes in proxy pack,no installer appeared.I play on Nanya.so what am i doing wrong?Doesnt work yet :(.when i open venom lite.ip is correct for my server.And i tried all IPs you told i should (your 1st post)including my own.

Have you considerd it is working ^^ If you can Run the V3n0M-Lite.exe and see the Dos Command Promt style window then V3n0M is running, then you WILL have to edit your server.dat file, find your server in it and change the i.p. in your servers details to 127.0.2.1 :rolleyes: yw

we have the same problem but i can open the venom-lite.exe ... so wat is our problems?

Download all the needed .Net and J# links in first post, and dont just download, INSTALL them, restart computer and itll work fine.
