For me, no need to change the hot key. I myself have changed in the game options and now it's OK. Anyone can change so there is no need to change anything in the program ;). No one don't want to shoot down my ship so I don't know yet whether revieving works.

Edit: Unfortunately, I'm still the same. Just refresh and don't press "Repair for free" :(

compatibility mode works only from your version and under, so in vista it will have win xp win 2k not win 7, only win8 supports compatibility in win7

The "beep" inform you that your ship is dead or you lost the internet connection. So... what is not working for you? Only "beep" sound or your reviving and reconnection?
