Not to be mean, but i played in PA and in some odd way, it was even worse than Acclaim... You have a few odds'n'ends that don't add up and end up being neither here nor there.
If i was to build a "hardcore v1" server with a chance at success i'd go for this:
- XP. Acclaim was 1.5x not 1x. If you want 6x Acclaim (which i think it's good enough), it's 9x base not 6x base.
- Get the "bonus gear" right. People have been playing 9D too long to want to go over getting trivial crap all over again. It's enough of a job to hunt down non-trivial things. Thus said:
- Players should start with the blue+double orders, the +2 jade plate, the +2 relic you get from starting village (if quests we're working), 4x Frozen Sea Tiger Rings, the old "no reqs" weapons (iirc was a GL base weapon with +10all 10% speed), the old Ma Daie Ya 100def 4 pocket set and the old Halloween mask (+5 all 10% speed).
- RC1 give them the whole rc relics set.
- RC5 give them the 6 seals.
- RC12 the LF's.
- RL1(???) the 1/1k hp leech hat.
- FD1 the whole FD relics set.
- FD5 the Conqueror Trinket.
- SM8 8x Fox Fur Comforter's.
- GB3 the Golden Ball and the Dogteeth Necklace.
- EC1 the whole EC relics set.
- FC+ find old stuff that's "nice" in the event gear that's left over in the DB. Mouse hats, panda hats, swimsuits, etc... There's enough great stuff in there to keep people looking forward to a level up.
And if you're not aiming for IM profit, please, do give people the extra bags. Most are pack rats and hate having no room.
- Give the dungeons a do over. CoF/VoH could drop say a root (30% hp) and Mansion/BT a KG. And improve the chance of clothes, slotted (for the endgame). Also make the passes tradeable for trivial crap like Qilins statue (a good reason to pick them up...). GCM/BP should get the good (400) dmg wb's and the 3/1k hats.
- Give world bosses a do over too on drop. Anything LD- drops a 3 roots, anything LD+ drops 2KG. That should make for some fun "boss dominance" fights.
-Improve Conqueror's Dungeon statues/mob/chest drops. Rate is miserable, always been. And given item "redo's", karma plates and 2 slot 300wb's would become significant items.
-Ref kept to +9, 100% to +5 and decreasing to say 5%@+9.
-And ofc, no def items, 2nd role or non "original v1 skills".
p.s. Yes, i did humor the thought of building it up myself, but sadly my 2nd box isn't big enough to hold more than 2 maps up... :(
