#Tips and Tricks for All Classes

Having lv 12 buffs can be really useful

On my zerk i have a greave (nat warrior, vital charge and Berserker) and gaunts (combat echo, speed attack, power blade) that i use for buffing, after buffing i switch to cf gears.
Also use a ice/light/psn top to buff and switch to cf top with extra sb.
Those buff gears can really help you a bit.

Zerk modes

There are three (good) modes to gear yourself as zerk

- Glorious Gaudius mode
This is a tank mode, you gain over 100 sb and block without difficulty and you have a huge moving speed, using luke or glorious luke with cloak (and wings?) can help you tank even more. Use blodes/shutas to buff up

- Glorious logos mode
This is a pure damage mode, you have an enormous attack speed that will blow up your foe in no time. Use a sword for more attack power and grind a ranger for angelic might as finishing touch. In this mode, use luke with lv 6 might.

- Glorious Ohkeros mode (my mode)
This is pure damage without getting hit mode, you need stun in wep, shield and boots, otherwise you should not use this mode. By stunning your foe before he can even attack, you can gain alot of advantage while fighting groups, just stun someone (15 secs stun) and go to the next foe and finish the previous one off later.
Use luke with might lv 6 or wings for a faster movingspeed so you can stun your opponent faster.

- Fail mode
some zerks use glorious shutas and/or blodes. This has no advantages at all so DON'T do that !

Hope i helped :)

By the time I'll be done with my toon it will have 90% resi, 332 defense and 12000 hp (without a party or bg buffs ofc).

Sorcs deal good damage already, we need to tank as well as we can, cause it's not what we were designed for.

Scion stones are for gay guys :(

my setup is almost similar but i use intel okeheros instead of the intel blodes/shutas.

perma halt np and the ele damage to back it up.

i use scions in my gear.. but i also have ashtals too. never hurts to have both.

which set i use just depends on who and what class i fight.

I did several tests between scion and ashtal gear. and ofc scion puts out alot more damage. ... but with the ashtals you get the intelligence and the hp boost... so i dont think scions are gay i just think they are totally situational.. and if you can afford it.. it will rock.. 2-3 spells and most classes are dead.

thats just my input. not saying youre wrong voldy :)

also stay on topic dudes.. if you got a problem with this thread go qq somewhere else. bill your thread is massive and this one was made before your sticky. its strictly about classes.. if you cant post anything positive then please direct your negativity towards dagus somewhere else.

For ranger, depending if you want cast or crit, you choose different uniqs - here is what I use on ranger. I use cast btw ^^

Int Pargon
Int Shocker
Spiral
Gaia Tree Ring
Pendant
Biglos
Int Gaudius
2 blodes
Luke

Weapon, I'd recommend kataria becoz of cast passive lv 62 - so high cast even without lens - in the weapon I use scion prayers, in armpads/boots i use ashtals.

make sure to get a CF top with 10%+ HP & SB, and put resistance/curse removal/stamina buff/(skill awakening/ashtal) depending if you want cooldown or hp
also, get a +2 top for buffing (BG armor is very good here)

get tights with 10%+ resi and 150+ hp

armpads, get some with cast in, and maybe some attack speed.

boots, I'd recommend lightning/psn/elite boots with yellow stats of Intention, Acute Shot and Life Grow.

get a dimension cloak lv 3+ in shocker, get a normal ele cloak in the biglos, and try to get a BG cap - if not, uniq/elite cap with all stats/ele resistance 8%+ is fine - this is good for tanking archers, they will not be able to kill you after putting ele res cap/spiral/biglos with ele cloak/gaia tree ring on :D

my stats self buffed (aproximate, maintenance atm so can't see xD):
80% resi, sb, ele res
5x % ice/psn/light resi
over 110% cast
15x lightning dmg, 13x ice/psn
80/90 normal ele dmg

I can tank the best archer of my server, I get crits of aprox 1500 max (ign. def) from good zerks (with bg armor on)

get this and you become good ranger :D

Hey. You mean at Glorious Logos mode: Use 1handed Sword for more attack speed If we are talkin about attack speed. Cuz 1h blunt gives more dmg than 1h sword.

Here is a link, where you can find all uniques with stats. So you can choose what you like;)

Not a single word on the lowly lil Elementalist in this Thread? Sad.

I built 2 high levels on different servers and did them completely different.

The first one (99) was mostly Ashtals in Chak and some more in the armour and so has good tanking abilities and nice HP/Mana.

The second (96) could whoop the first one no problems. All Scions in 8 slot +1 Chak along with Ice stones. Ele's have Ice damage Attack skills, but actually attack with most elemental damages, so thats the way i went with it.

New patch means that ele's can have max casting easy because of Battle Cry Buff which is now also a Party Cast time buff as well (not stated in the skill description), but you need to buff with +1 stuff. Need Lens/combi as well to get there. 121 Cast time no worries now. I don't even have cast gloves on.

Scions in gloves and 1 in boots along with good speed stone. Get bonus speed in boots as well. Here's the thing with speed - ele's have no stun resistance at all. Get your speed to the max you can. You can do amazing hit and run tactics if you can hit hard and fast enough. My latest ele can do 269 Movement speed when needed. - No BS.
2 Gaudius
Bonus speed boots with max stone
good wing
combi
Level 10 potion (30%) This one will take some time to get level 10 cooking skill admitted
CC speed pot
BG Mob Buff

Zoom in - do amazing damage real fast - bugger off real fast :)

Sorc Halts you - run off and leave sorc eating your dust if he is not terrifically fast one, then with him still targetted, you prop as soon as halts wears off and whack him. Works a lot.

Keep your distance from perma stunning Zerks/Knights and make them work hard to just catch you.

Use mostly Intel Uniques if you can for the extra damage as you don't need cast time plus or crits.

Consider the lowly Shocker Neck, or an intel Shocker even better. Add highest level ice/Light/Poison damage -resist Cape as well.

Remember ele's do ele damage. (just to repeat myself)

Do balance things out with Ashtals in Armour where you can. It will allow you some more tanking abilities and give you more mana which is what you really need to lay in some nice attack skill spikes.

You have no doubt read all the posts in this thread about the high HP Sorcs. Well - Get around their Halt and that HP pile can be stripped away pretty fast if you can lay in your licks nice and fast. Sorcs often depend on that skill hitting first to then pile drive you with lots of other damage. I take down high HP sorcs all the time either when Halt misses, or I run it off with a sorc eating my dust trying to get it to hit. The Macro Sorcs are harder though, but i occasionally get MY stun in on them first, then they are toast.

PETS - forget 'em at high levels. They get wasted real fast in any good fight against high level opponents. Decent critter will take a pet down in seconds.

Ele's can do Max Cast and Max Cooldown. Ohks/CD cap/stone in chest/Combi/level 10 potion/BG buff/CF food/skull of chaos. (won't need all of that) - was doing it the other day and I just held the skill button down to spam the attack of choice. Nice.

All it takes is $$$$ or some nice wheeling and dealing.

This is just one aspect of Ele's that I typed up in a hurry at work. More to come later.

Yeah, but what u wrote was wrong. I'm just correct it.
If u check blunt vs sword dmg -> blunt have more dmg. I know sword is faster, I'm not a lame so don't flame...

yes but faster attack speed = more damage over time (dot) how many times does this need to be broke down..

i.e. blunt crits for 4k damage, sword 3.5k damage. But the blunt is slower. meaning that in the time it takes to do that 4k crit the sword has already done two crits equaling 7k damage told..

math doesnt lie kthxbai

Read what you quoted. I did say Lens/Combis

I am the first to admit that my Ele's live and Breathe Lens/Combi. Ele's are casters, so why would I deprive them of Cast reduction and Skill Cooldown? You can bet your left butt cheek my opponents are using CC, and so do I.
05/04/2011 15:55 Feldunost#120
Ok i see, anyway it's a lot unbalanced for gamers whitout CC.

And when u see pple with 12k HP (surely full ashtal stones on their armor) it's a bit hard to play.
