Let's take the Serverlist as example. It looks like this.
------
Silkroad (Standard Channel)
Silkroad 1 (First Channel)
Silkroad 2 (Second Channel)
Silkroad 3 (Third Channel)
------
Each Server has their own Database, now the tricky part.
You play on Standard Channel and you received an Item or you just moved somewhere. This Action will be saved on each other Channel (Database), this means if you switch from the Standard Channel to the Second Channel your Progress from the Standard Channel is also on the Second Channel. That means you didn't lost anything.
If this would be possible, it would be surely possible to create a pure PvP Server. The PvP Mode Sign would be floating the whole time over your Character even after Teleporting.
What about the PvE Part? When I think about it ...
----
Standard Channel (Original Silkroad Gameplay)
First Channel (PvP Channel)
Second Channel (Party Channel) - (Only Party Monsters Spawning)
Third Channel (Solo Channel) - (For those Players which want to play alone)
----
What do you think? Could this be possible?

Create a seperated database e.g. "SRO_Sync".
Add every channel use with an identifying ID to the database SRO_Sync, as well as every affected table by procedure executions with its Channel ID in another table.
Once the account attempts to log into a different channel, set it on hold and update the account with the stored tables, plus every other table that isn't updated by procedures; generate a new Channel ID - grant access once the update was successful.
(Speaking of what is currently possible with the vSRO files..) it's not possible to maintain the PvP mode ingame, the mode is handled by the client and not stored in the database, but you could use murder states instead or forced job states.
