I don't call the "customers" idiots. I'm calling the people idiots that are unable to follow simple instructions (see the definition?). In fact some of them are "customers" as you call it.
However, this PERFECTLY SHOWS that we do NOT differentiate between people who pay and people who don't pay. They get treated equally.
