There is not a 'unknown' string in the hit text strings, it just would not display at all if it could not produce the proper syntax string.
Just looks like under map'ing or platform changing really, nothing special. And the invulnerable bug has been around for awhile with ele, just not many who have managed to figure it out or reproduce it.. Much like how you can sit and jump in a golem while using tornado or using the fiery gs and it scales the damage ^ and you can wipe whole zergs with it. Quite alot of old bugs in the client I don't think people even get bored enough to test/notice/can reproduce all the time..
P.S.: You can even take an Omega's skills into an alpha golem and they work just fine ;)
P.P.S: To use a fiery gs in a golem, do the same thing you would do with a tonic but instead double click the golem when your character is doing the pickup for the gs using your interact key while the gs is targeted. Used to scale up with the golem and you would keep siege properties on your attack and you could 1 shot gates, since been fixed however and does not keep siege properties but does still scale damage ^ when hitting player/npc.
