After unpacking your Conquer.exe with a tool like Resource Tuner as described, you can edit the unpacked .exe (the bigger one) using a hex-editor like XVI32
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
Here is a step by step on using XVI32 to make the UNPACKED client into a multiclient:
1) UNPACK the client using Resource Tuner as described on page 1 (Follow steps 1, to 2.5... IGNORE 3+ as these are steps specific to XVI32).
2) Download XVI from the site above or click
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
3) Unzip XVI32 to a folder by right-clicking the xvi32.zip you downloaded and choosing the longest line with "unzip", "extract" or "unpack" in it.
4) Double-click on XVI32 to run it (The icon should look like a blue box with stuff written in it)
5) Drag the UNPACKED (the big one) Conquer.exe onto the XVI32 window that opened (This will show alot of data now)
6) Click on "Search" then "Find"
7) Type the following into the top box: Fps:%d
(Copy & paste if you cant type 6 keys correctly)
8) Click [OK]
9) Check the bottom "status" area of XVI32 to make sure it says Overwrite instead of Insert.
If it says Insert then tap your Insert key once to turn it back to Overwrite.
10) You see the word "English" in the white section to right?
11) Click on the "i" of "English" and then hit the letter "u" on your keyboard.... it should change to "Englush"
12) Click on "File" then "Save"
13) You should then replace the Conquer.exe in your CO folder with that one you just made.
Notes:
* If descenpet wants to incorporate any of those steps or any info into page-1 of this thread then I give him full permission.
* This has been tested by me with 5 COs and works fine. I left it unpacked because that will be needed for most of the bots, etc when they are updated.
