Multi-Client for 4312(step by step included)

Some might notice the fact that TQ really tried to prevent multiclient in patch 4312.. :eek:
they packed the new conquer.exe using UPX so that we can't just hex-edit the new exe as usual anymore.. :o some have found out ways to direct hex edit but it causes day, time at top left corner disappear etc. if u post a screenshot(of coz on official forum) without day/time, ppl will know u use multi client.. :x
to solve this, we need to unpack it before we can edit the exe as usual. since new COPartner work only with packed exe, we will need to repack it after editing. :cool: i can successfully launch 3 or more with modified exe.

i know alot of u are better than me and are capable of solving this without my help but at the same time alot of you might stuck with TQ's exe and 2 client :D

so, here is how i did. :D

1.Get a UPX pack/unpacker and install it on your computer. (i used resource tuner from [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] which i found on google :rolleyes: it's 30 days trial :D)dun try to crack it. the program might not work anymore.

2.Unpack the conquer.exe using the unpacker.(juz open and choose "save as". it'a juz that simple :D)
2.1.Open resource tuner
2.2.Open your original Conquer.exe using resource tuner
2.3.Choose File>Save As or click on Save As button
2.4.Choose different location to save or choose same location and click Yes to overwrite.
2.5.Make sure u hav successfully unpacked by checking the file size

unpacked exe-1.12MB

3.Edit the unpacked Conquer.exe using any hex-editor as usual :D
3.1.Get a hex-editor and install if u dun hav one of course. :p(there are alot of freewares.. i used XVI32 from [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
3.2.Open the unpacked exe using hex-editor
3.3.Search Fps:%d
3.4.Change "English" after that to something else
3.5.Save it(it is multi-client exe now)

4.Repack the Multi-client EXE
4.1.Download UPX packer from upx.sourceforge.net [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
4.2.Extract to your hard drive for example C:\
4.3.Go to command prompt and change the directory to where u extracted. eg: C:\upx201w
4.4.Move/Copy your multi-client exe to same directory(u can use windows explorer)
4.5.Enter the command in command-prompt to pack
upx -9 conquer.exe
4.6.Make sure u hav successfully unpacked by checking the file size
unpacked exe-1.12MB
repacked exe-348KB
4.7Copy/Move repacked exe to your conquer folder and enjoy multi-client

i just opened the original exe and choose "save as". and woot.. it's unpacked :rolleyes:

here i suppose to be done:

1. Install [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
2. Extract the 4312 to a temporary file
3. right click on conquer.exe it pops the context menu of ResourceTuner
4. click file and save as to a temporary folder
5. open the temporary folder were you save the unpack conquer.exe file, hex-edit it and you will find Fps:%d, now close the hexeditor it pops save then save it.
6. Copy and paste it to the running CO folder that would b than running multiclient..

Works so far once I multi log after the update I will edit this post to say it works and +k you. :)
