(Charity Server) Can we do this?

Cool idea. If any community based issues arrive, feel free to give me a msg.

I think this is a great idea. One point that should be established is transparency about how much has been received in donations and how much is being sent to the charity. I see no problem with the team keeping a share of the money, we all have lives and we need that income to live.

Just one point I’d like to add: right now the servers revolve around activities that exclude players (like me) who have to work and take care of many things. It would be interesting to create activities throughout the entire day and also let people who only have time to play with bots progress more slowly, yet still notice their advancement in the game. I have to work and don’t have much time to play, but I love seeing my character progress and kill monsters; it’s relaxing and reminds me of the good old days when you’d leave home and come back to see what you had achieved during the iSRO era. I think the key is to strike a balance between those who have time to play and those, like me, who need to work.

If that balance is possible, I would definitely play and promote the server to my friends who are in the same situation. If it isn’t possible, I wish you luck and hope this project becomes reality and brings some shine to this toxic community and to server creators who think only of themselves.

Thank you for considering my idea, and I wish the project success!

I've tried to restrain myself from replying, but this has been going on for way too long and I kinda hate it.
More than 3 years have past and you're still asking for it.

This is your own opinion, you're probably trying to expose game design issues all around.
But there is a potential solution, make your own private server of your liking, like me.
I'm not playing SRO since 2020 but I like to develop stuffs around SRO, in my breaks maybe implementing changes I've seen in other MMORPG games into my local server and who knows? maybe I can finish and publish it some day.

You're just explaining what competitivy means all around SRO private servers because nowadays is much easier to create a server by using any paid filter around. And it got easier than three years ago. People will be looking for a better game content if the current one does not satisfy them enough, that's pretty normal.

Good deeds starts with only one person doing it. You can make way too many things for the community but you're mentally stuck.

You can be streamer, youtuber, tiktoker, redditor and you can still be making changes to the SRO community or at least starting your own community SRO oriented. I mean..
If you really care about charity you can be still be doing your own SRO private server of your liking and donating to the charities all by yourself with no asking because that's the whole purpose doing charity, maybe promoting others to do the same.
If you really care about leaving some legacy, you just start with what you have without hesitation! People will come eventually with more chances to stay in support of good deeds.

So what's the problem at this point? You've been administrator before, running a SRO private server all by your own I can guess.

Of course it is possible, you're already owning a SRO private server.

The amount donated doesn't even matter, any kind of % matters if you're donating to a charity like helping homeless puppies.
By the way, it's contradictory that you're looking for credibility when you know that your donations are right and genuine to begin with, again that's the purpose doing charity, nobody is forcing you to do it.

Anyways, not everything has to start big to make a change.
I have to end with this quote:
Saruman believes it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found. I found it is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love." - Gandalf (J.R.R. Tolkien)

SROTimes is not my server, its partnership with more than 6 partners involved, i already donate some of my income of SROTimes to charity but i don't have to talk about this here.
Anyway, i have plan ready to start working on the server after SROTimes,

I hope to see a reply from you again after I open the server and you see with your own eyes the impact of it.

New generations don't even play Silkroad. LOL! After all those years people still crave for attention. This is just lame. I love it when someone thinks they're important around something that's not even their creation. Grow up because is just a game!

You're the perfect example of a uneducated child. It's never too late to go back to learn how to understand and put together actual meaningful sentences.

Smh, a guy in his 30s behaves like this on the internet, grow the fuck up you manchild.

I just love when people write something on internet and think they are cool.

*Note = I don't even care what you say or what you said, since to me you are nobody.

That's why Silkroad is where it is because of people like you xD

This sounds great, although I am not sure if this can be done because of the toxic community…
