Limit thread creation

hey,

I have a better idea.Let make a list of servers populated and active.
If someone will add a new serv and after month/weeks he will offline, then a subject will be delete or send to offline section.
Everyone player will have easier look on the list servers who are online, active and on people playing there every day.
Many of us spam in subject, becouse we want show other players how active is us server and that there is many talk about him.

We must add yet to every post made by person, a limit on words in it.
60% in posts people answering short and sometimes not on topic.

- Yes, it is it
- No ty
- of course xD

It isn't a answer. This is spam !

Thats all.

i totally agree on that and thanks Synx for coming up with this idea
but Epvp is my Only source of searching for Sro related stuff ( especially Private servers )
and to be honest most of the sections are messed up ( Especially private servers Advertising section ) so yea i would suggest you guys should work on this already if possible
it would be great if you could edit Sro section to require certain conditions for start a thread which as Synx suggested are the number of posts and oldness of the account
3~4 months are fair enough not too long neither too short
20~25 post are enough because i'v been here for a long time and i don't really post that much so if you increase the number of posts required it wouldn't be any good
that's it's very good idea
thanks ~ have a nice day.

No, i just made an account on elitepvpers because i had a problem with my computer. And now I like elitepvpers and I write like 5 posts per day! So, elitepvpers would loose much new members if they would create that rule.

Number of posts is kind of archaic. If you want to create more safety in the community, new users should be required to "apply" to join the site instead of having automatic registration.

New users would be required to show identification or provide something linking them to their account such as a small donation or even a simple telephone number.

Multi-accounts would be harder to create seeing as the application process takes time to approve.

Once the account has been approved users will start out with 0% on a sort of progress bar and only be able to lurk until they have gone through a Tutorial which consists of reading the forum rules and answering 4-5 questions based on the rules. Once they complete this tutorial they are then approved a second time and their membership status is upgraded to 10%.

Once at 10% they are able to post freely and create new threads without a post count required.

There are good valid points for this, so that people can't create new accounts over and over and spam the forums.

EDIT: And just realised the guy who bumped this thread before me, ultima-blaze, its also a server-spam only account, he just post on threads senseless posts like "thanks" for get postcount and be able to post pictures on his server adverstiment thread.

It's fun to see how the shit reach even the post who complains about the shit, and more fun to see how admins give a shit.

The bumps got deleted, at least I'm glad a mod/admin took a look at it.
