Edit: Its the CPU Usage, When i have VMware up that alone takes up 84 - 94% of the CPU Performance is there anything i can do to where i can put on cabal on my desktop?

I just checked the link and it is still good and I did get a download and serial key to use. If you can't figure out the registration then you probably won't be able to figure out the rest of this.

On a side note, I created a new guest last night and downloaded tuneup utilities 2008 and used it to "tweak" a lot of settings on the guest to give maxium performance and it helped quite a lot. For those having "laggy" response have you tried tweaking the guests at all?? This is very important to allow you multiple guests. When you install your guest OS there will be a lot of crap you will not need running. Please see my third post on some suggestions on top of using tuneup utilities.

i knew that vmware can do this but the older version did not support graphics.
btw anyone tested 2moons ?
and i get an error trying to install the vmware machine

Go to your favorite bittorrent site or do what I do and use the newsgroups and download a version that is "Original" or maybe "Retail".

first thanks to ur tutorial it is nice

i've installed the vmware and installed cabal in it disabled the firewall in the vmware and the original windows, game updates normally but when i press start game it loads xtrap then the game widow then then game stops loading and close nothing appear after cabal window is lunched after the xtrap is opened . any help in that

It sounds like a winner but I can't be for sure. Original is always best, but nearly impossible to find since all are slipstreamed with service packs etc.. I can't tell you if that version is what you need or not but you can try it. I think I went through downloading about 5 or 6 versions of xp before I found one that VMware liked. :)

This seems to be a common problem for most people. Matter of fact i had this problem when I first started and took days to find the answer. Best I can offer you is if you have NVidia's control panel in your system tray (a green NVidia icon) then you will probably have to go in to it's settings and disable the multi threading options. The default is Auto and if you have a multi core processor (which you should for VMware) then it will turn itself on. This must be off. If you don't have NVidia's control panel in the system tray or running then I suggest trying to disable any overclocking software you may be using for video. RivaTuner is safe since it doesnt have any option to use multi threading.

This is what you do to disable it:

Right click the green NVIDIA Control Panel.... screw explaining through words. I'm going to make a visual guide and post it in the third post. Give me about an hour or less.
