Why are people discussing about esro here? :/
i hoped that it was going to be released a year ago.. as ur team said.. but it didnt.. so i havn't actually heard any updates on it.. so i guessed it failed? but good luck to u 2 if u're still working on it.. =PQuote:
what do you base this theory on that it "failed" just cause we havent done any blog updates, doesnt mean we stopped.
Your words are full of truth. :)Quote:
Not up-to-date with silkroad shit, but from what drew told me months ago, esro seems doing well, npcdoom seems to know what he's doing, and makes usage of the boost library (if you call yourself a C++ developer, and don't know what boost is, hang yourself. ) And eckoro has prolly the best packet documentation around, people say that the project failed because they aren't playing on the server yet, no one said that it'll get done soon, nor it will, with the amount of people helping. Don't even compare overhyped pay to play mmorpg private servers with silkroad. Yes, aion has a nice pserver running already, that's because there are ton of people working on it, silkroad is different, 95% of the people still stick to fucking autoit and make useless taxi timers or some other crappy client managers. The release section is a joke, a repost of a repost. And you're all wondering why sro doesn't have pservers yet, it's because you're lazy and don't want to spend time to learn something useful, no you want quick results and you want to scream around "OMG DOWNLOADZ MY AUTOIT TAXI MANAGER". Got it? Glad I've quit this shithole of game, dev wise and gaming wise.
All good things take time.
@lesderid
good luck.
