I have an 80 engineer and the speed hack appears to slow it down when it's not active. IOW, LShift not held down and the the engineer runs slower than when GW2MH is not loaded. I can unload GW2MH and toggle the engineer mecha legs trait off and back on and it speeds back up.
Hope this helps track down the problem.

You should really work on how all of your pattern scanning works ( if there is any ) and also how the vast majority of the rest of it works since most of your things break relatively badly on updates and the most I ever need to update is loot/chat and am adding the pattern for speed/gravity sometime later next week when I've time to cleanup some of the dust on Unf an can break from working on some global controllers in archeage and the modding I've begun in BDO.

Unf only ever needs speed/fly/loot ( and speed/fly is done just not uploaded yet cause I'm polishing a few things ) an the only thing I've needed to touch outside of that in the past 8 months is strife/climb cause of how they changed some things revolving around crawlheight in the engine.
Not trying to hijack, just seeing why your patterns fail and if you need advice.
