I have made a decision with this project, once ive gotten all the files from my old PC onto this one I shall be releasing the source of the program so you can see how I made the program so you could make your own effects remover and maybe add more options.

Before i release it though I shall be commenting the code a little as its all just a mess at the moment so you can see why things are doing what and where.

Once i release the source code I dont want to see people just write their own name on the program and claim it as their own.[

I had also made updates to the program just never uploaded it, only major update was an addition of a splash screen, so that will be included into the source code.

It was coded in VB6, so if you havent got VB6 then youll need to get it if you want to learn the code.

So expect a source code publish soon :)

Well guys and gals since COtobo is nearly fixed everyone will start going back to that for effect removal, so in light of this I have decided to release the source code of COeRR.. the full program can be found here:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

Basically i release it so you people can learn how I did it and maybe expand on the idea into packets for instant effect removal rather than having to restart the client..

Also a great way to start contributing to the forum but looking at other peoples source code and making your own tools from what you learn from the source code.

Yes i started another topic for this because I wanted to keep the replies seperate for each topic so I its easier to offer support on the each one.

I commented the code but got lazy towards to end of commenting, but the main form is commented pretty well so you know whats happening where.

I hope you enjoy the source code like i enjoyed programming it, and I hope to see people learning from it and possibly some effect removal tools created from the concept.

Enjoy :)

Edit: I think i might of put this in the wrong section lol, maybe in Guides & Templates, sorry if i did.

Edit: Forgot to mention the source is in Visual Basic 6

I just reinstalled conquer and checked it out, all seems to be working fine, i just didnt know with recent updates if they had changed any of the effects files about but it seems they havent :)

But if they do you have my permission to update it where nessecary so long as credits for the original coding are there :)

@mwaha > at patch 4339 they added a new 3DEffect.ini file, thats all.
Your program still works though.
07/28/2007 10:42 mwaha#74
Ah cool, all people would need to do then is to delete the backup file this program had created then it would automatically backup the newer file, since i put the check into the program so it didnt overwrite the backup file with an empty file it will keep the older effects file, so yeah just delete the old backup file then it will create a new one with the newer effects file.

Dunno what they added to it though, doesnt seem to be anything new that requires new effects unless im missing something :D

Well patch 4331 the 3DEffect.ini file was 422kb at patch 4339 it was 423kb in size.
They added 90 lines to it.
