ok, lets focus on the topic rather than talking like this

By the way, the WebDAV exploit wasn't an exploit, if anyone still cares. The developers simply turned on (or didn't turn off) WebDAV anonymous download and upload permissions, which allowed people to download certain files and upload ASP files and run them (via the web server) to mess with the database and get machine administrator access. It was a lot of fun and a tiny bit scary because they logged shit.

(I chickened out and let the downloading and SQL stuff over to vorosmihaly.)

Leaking these files wasn't a bad thing to happen, it would've given us 3-4-5 more servers to play on, servers where you could play the way you wanted, not the monopolist.

Releasing these files was the worst thing Chernobyl could've done. What was done can't be undone, what was fun is now gone. Now it's time to move forward and destroy it - so that we can restore what we had. Releasing exploits, destroying current servers and having files where these exploits don't work, keeping them private.

No... u cant do anything .. u close a server a new one opens, and the only one who suffer are the players.

IMO that is probably the only way to save SRO [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

It is nowhere being close to save SRO, not to mention that the chances it's going to happen are like... 10% at it's best. It'd be so much easier if we just release few exploits we currently have, but still, it might not be the wisest thing to do, all things considered. There's still money to milk =D

I know it is the ideal to decrease the number of servers
but by making that, we could make SRO goes down faster
Imagine a community hatting SRO for being a hackers game. I think the solution is something else rather than going the harsh way. Don't ask me for ideas, since I'm not the one to answer them, but i think exploiting the game and DDoS is not the solution

I think its pretty obvious that its incredibly hard/near impossible to gather the whole sro community in 1 place unless you have a monopoly (doesnt have to be, just several choices, not several hundred).

option number 2: actually creating something so incredibly good it would become a monopoly in the sro scene.
