ya talking about the Yo'ster? :D
Anyways...
I was the one inviting Bane to our section, as I thought it would be a good decision for the SRO section, which it has been on one side while the other side was that he simply lacked the feeling for communication with the SRO members. The section is quite clean as of now, which is obviously the work of TheConArtist and Bane and I'm grateful for all they did, but fitting in into the World of Silkroad is something different as people are relying on different values for their daily chitchat and you simply have to tolerate them and treat them in a different manner, which is probably the point where Bane failed.
i.e.: If they start a trollface war, close it with a trollface saying: "Pwned Y'All". Once they see you're like them , they start accepting you and appreciating your work/actions.
I won't utter a yes or no now, but I'm inviting Bane to play Silkroad with me and to take part in the forums as a regular member. If he gets what's behind SRO and it's community, I won't see any reason for him not to be hooked up again. If it doesn't work out though, I'd have to say sorry Bane.
It's up 2 you bro.
And to Mr. Smith, you can't compare moderating a forum to teaching a class in school. It's not like your teacher gets elected from the pupils, it's the class representative instead. The section should be moderated in a way that suits most members with the intention to make the section a place where everybody feels well. The class representative does basically the same, he trys to smoothen the edges that are in between of teachers and pupils, while the teacher just trys to teach, because it's his job and not his passion. Although a passionated teacher will always try to have a friendly relation to his pupils, so that he may not have to punish them.
A moderator just shouldn't have the "Moderatormon: Gonna Bash 'Em All!" attitude.
