yes patch the game

Alright, something's messed up. It let me connect perfectly once, then when I restarted the game, the update message popped up again.

are u using vista or XP?

i did all the steps but still i get the official launcher.

wtf is this?

im already doing all things since this morning and its night now wtf?

ok listen this guide isn't just for u ok? if u already finished the steps and can play then think of others. This guide isn't made for just u my valiant scottofscott

I'm on XP. It seems to completely random. About 10% of the time it'll let me connect. The other times it'll tell me to update.

EDIT: For those people who have gotten it to work - does it let you connect successfully every time your restart the game?

did u have language pack installed?

ok, i got downloaded
-Cabal USA client
-Patcher.rar

i did installed cabal usa and let it patch fully.

now, when i want to extract/dragg the patcher folder to my CABAL folder,it doesnt give me a message like "Do u want to replace/overwrite this files"

but anyway i installed those languages and after that i restrated pc.

i want to click on cabal icon and it just gives me the official launcher.

Do u know any solution/possible fix?
Or any things that i did wrong?

Alright, just to be clear :)

- I am running Windows XP (NOT Vista)
- I installed the East Asian languages pack already
- I have tried both allowing the game to update and not allowing it to update
- In short I've tried every solution posted so far that I know of.

The result is:
I CAN connect... about 1 out of every 10 tries. However, 9 out of 10 tries I will get the update error.

You need to take the files which are INSIDE the patcher folder and drag THOSE into the Cabal folder.

If you don't get the overwrite you're probably doing it wrong.

ok i am playing xcabal and can reconnect whenever and here is what i did

- download cabal usa
- install cabal usa
- did not allow it to update or even run it at all!!
- copy everything from inside patcher folder
- Download asian language files from here [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
- go to contorl panel switched to category view (instead of classic view) click date time and language settings choose add another language and clicked add asian files.
- then went to directory with the downloaded and installed the asian files
- ok and apply
- Restart computer
- Log in and power level to 60 :)

oh and skyfusion i did not patch the game and dont think you need to patch as for evryone i know whos played this has not patched it

this wasnt just aimed at you a couple of people said they was only using xp.

the only thing i said about you is telling people to update when they do not need to

i know im just reminding u and XP people should have np if they followed any of the correct guides. Also i said my guide is only a guidance. Yes u can either update or not doesn't really matter. But if u update u get the latest patches and it's better than not patching.

yeah understand that just people have had better luck not patching than if they do patch. everyone in the guild rag0zone did not patch there game and its running fine for all of us
