This post is dedicated to you and the team behind this awesome server. This is not an asscrawling post. I have achieved enough in my young life, to not have the intentions of an asscrawler :D
Sorry for my english... I am german and this isn't my mother tongue. Also sorry for the wall of text, but It just has to be that long.
I can't understand your post completely...
First about the server:
I am playing here since 3 weeks and this is the MOST fun I have ever had in SRO (except the beginning stat pre 70 cap on iSRO, 8 years ago). This server has brought me many new friends and ALSO reunited me with old lost friends from OASIS (8 years ago). Unknowingly I started on this server and found to them after having no contact for 6 years (destiny??). This was and still is an experience I will never ever forget.
Also this server has an awesome support system... I can't understand the fgts who cry about the support system. I had more than 5 tickets and skype requests for support of GM's and everything went good because I stayed kind and patient. Blackpoint especially does a very good job! Kudos to you sir.
OK lets stop with this lovestory...
What I really want to tell you is, that criticism is shown WAY more than grattitude. You are still young and already very successful. I am 22 myself but you should see this as a life lesson. GRATTITUDE is shown way LESS than CRITICISM. Especially on the internet! Be it at being a social media star, online shop or just a website which is offering a service, just look at website reviews or shop reviews NONE has more than 4,8 stars in rating because there will always be criticism.
If the service is good for 29 days in the month and bad for 1 or 2 days then there will always be people who cry and criticise everything.... thats a fact and thats how life works.
Even in the real life this happens very often... Why do you think that people get fired. If you look at school for example... teachers always found things to criticise but rarely commended your good accomplishments!
I can understand where your lack of motivation is coming from but you know the SRO Community and the Gaming Community SUCKS. I'm an avid gamer and I myself am criticising games if I got problems with them, but I am surely no hater... I always try to be constructive.
What you have to see as partially gratitude is, that this server is getting a very high amount of donations. OKAY, most people do this because they want to be krall, hue hue :D
But there are also people who do this because they want to support the team behind Elamidas!
Another way of gratitude is the amount of players on here! Thats also the reason why you see so much criticism... because the player base is even bigger (exponential rise of criticism).
Just think about it again if it is what really makes you happy to not spend your full dedication, except real life, family etc. to this server anymore. I don't know what other projects you have running but IF I had the skills and this amount of valuable ressources in a project I would spend as much time as possible and not care what other people say! I don't want to exaggerate this but that's maybe a once in a lifetime chance.
What my suggestions for you are (it's ofc up to the team to do any of this and ofc after the current TODO list):
- DO more advtertisement.
- Get a forum where you can delete hater posts, not criticism, but HATER posts.
- Get a person who just manages the facebook page and forum??
- Things to make the economy stronger and stop the inflation maybe...
Make dungeons easier, but no too easy. 3 people should be able to clear them but not just rush through them. Cause right now its not even worth going in there.
- Make some changes to jobbing. Right now it feels very lackluster especially at togui village whereas thiefing at ROC mountain is very fun. Thiefs are rarely playing together and just gathering at TT for bonus Holy Dust
- Hunter are always just zerking at jobbing and since they have thief npcs to kill and thief npcs which attack them, they have the ZERK Gauge filled most of the time. Maybe disable zerking at jobbing? :)
-Fix FGW please! Drop 3 star more often Drop 4 star more often, but not too often ofc :D balance it.
-Fix Jobsuits. The Character sightrange is much higher in sro than the real name sightrange so you can't identify the opposing jobs from the distance and sometimes run into 5 enemies.
I can't think of any other suggestions right now but If I have some more I will update this post.
Last but not least you guys should know that the more hate the more fame you know that right :D
