[As Requested] Video Tutorial for Setting up the Shaiya Private Server

07/16/2010 08:09 UVUC#46
*Fixed this part*

Scratch that, I borrowed Enterprise from a friend. Got it installed with no problems.

BUT I encountered a NEW problem...

I go into the SQL Server Configuration, and I can enable all the "Native Client" Configurations ( the 3rd listing)
But have no drop-box for the second listing at all "Server 2005 Network Configuration".
There's nothing there for me to edit, no TCP/IP, no VIA, no pipes, nothing :(
How do I get that to show up?

Second
If the server and the client are running on the same machine. Use IP 127.0.0.1

If The Server and client are on local network but not on the same machine. Use the local Network Address. Example " 192.168.#.# ".

If the server and the client are not on a local netowrk or on the same computer use the external IP Example "169.254......."

Make sure your firewall and or router are configured to allow connections.

Make sure this is the IP used both in the game.exe and in the server ini files
located @ "SERVER\PSM_Client\Bin\Config\ps_game.ini"

Example for ini File

[GAMEINFO]
GameName=Your Server Name
GamePublicIP=Your Selected IP
;)
I all !!

How could i configure ip in "game.exe" in "Server Patch Config" and in "the server ini files located @ "SERVER\PSM_Client\Bin\Config\ps_game.ini"" ?
if Server are on machine and Client on virtual machine ( network configure on NAT )

Client run good if it running on machine with 127.0.0.1 in game.exe.

I've try to configure as Sniper by using 192.168.X.X,desable all firewall and oppenning port in my freebox router for the networks ip server but not work on machine or virtual machine.

Sorry for my poor english.
Thanks for reply.

When you went to open MSSQL Server Managament Studio did you change any of the default log in data?

or is it that you can't install it?

If you need the x64 version of SMSE download it from [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

I Also Edited The Original Tutorial to add link for SMSE x64.

The x86 or 32 bit version is available in the download.
The other link provided is the download for the x64 and x86 version from microsoft.com
