This Indos does not get what Glixxer said. It's not just about the templars. Okay you have a server that other class can kill templars. That's not the point. The point is, whenever you try to make the other class as strong as the templars, it will only create other imbalances in other class. Example is the avenger, my guess is that you just adjust its damage in order for the class to beat the templars in a 1v1 battle. How about avenger vs scout? Scouts are too soft and squishy. Even an agi dhan could defeat it easily.

From what I've personally experienced, boosting other classes to be as powerful as Templars never ends well. All it usually does is just create huge imbalances between the other 12 classes that never gets solved, and in some cases are even worse than OP Templars, alone.
Why would you even want to do this to yourself? Going through all the trouble involved with trying to fairly strengthen thirteen classes, when all you have to do is nerf Templars alone- the root cause? It makes no sense.
All you have to do is replace Blunt Mastery with the Priest's form of Staff Mastery, and make Marea's Hammer and White Curse work with all weapons. You said that you want them to be spellcasters, right? Well I say that the Int Build should be focused on rooting enemies and attacking them from afar with Saint Strike, Holy Light, and Destruction.
If Templars want to play a more support-oriented role, they can go Psyche and rely on Mana Shield to protect themselves.

Support (primary) with minor attack skills
Attack(primary) with minor support skills
It would be a mistake to have a race that both classes have the same role. Both type of play styles are needed for successful gameplay. To avoid imbalances characters with the same role should not be largely better at that role than another. The better/worse gets a little fuzzy when dealing with support roles since it is hard to judge the value of, say a priest's healing & life support to that of a wizard's AOE and enemy confusion support. The idea is that they balance out. Attack roles should be the same - a Templar should not have more killing power than a Dragon Knight, Avenger or Ranger even though it may come in a different form & require different attributes.
The successful server will take both of these roles and balances the classes within those roles for playability. In short a scout or savage should not be a less valued class than a priest.

Well said, I'm not trying to cross both platforms of support & attack based classes, It wouldn't end well as seen in many rohan servers. I'm trying to make the differences between "support" & "attack/dps" classes stay in there categories. By Equalizing them. I'm not trying to have attack classes that can't kill support classes because there too defensive minded and tanky. That's what i ment by trying to balance all classes. I'm trying to Make all the attack classes equal including templars. Personally I don't want templars in the game at all, I know they help tremendously but that's just my opinion. I'll be working on dekans,dhans,berks,rangers,scouts etc giving out some damage and try to be as close to balanced and important as templars are. Each class plays a certain role and is important and unique in there own way. Thats why i'm working on keeping it that way.Quote:
