Well, i know how to make it so it looks like your lvl changed but its impossible to really change it.

1. go to cheat engine

2. make a lvl one character

3. enter " 1 " into CE

4. level up

5. enter " 2 " into CE and click next

6. change the value to the lvl you want to be, max is like 999 your lvl doesnt really change it just looks like it and it looks like u get the points and everything.
