Might be the same thing that makes it "suspicious" to many AV programs - the fake multiplayer (UDP) part.

Berkay said he did something wrong with the buffer in 1.6, hence the random crashes. Also said it's already fixed for the next version, which should arrive in a day or two.

try doing what i did and find all the files you want/need in dev1ous's link and make ver 1.6 out of a previous ver for me 1.0 works best for me but when i stopped playing a couple of days ago i had it like 1.5 with all the map n parts etc, just put the files you want in n leave the rest out, this solved all my problems anyway...

Another version is releasing in 1 day.. Try that one...

What will be new in the next version?

Sorry I disagree with you. I did version 1.1 flawlessly. but when trying the same procedures I hit a ton of snags. Problem is files are getting corrupt once you start doing things like add and deleting cars and files.

Hey I truly appreciate all the hard work you guys are doing. I want this to work out well for the guys putting in all this effort. I'm not a kid and so I know what needs to be done here. First guy who can make this a peer-to-peer online dedicated server so I can race at least one of my friends will get $150.00 from me for sure. Thanks

By testing this out thoroughly. No Bugs. Version 1.6 I had to ditch because I kept corrupting my carslots file when buying new cars. Right now I'm just waiting for a newer version that doesn't have the bugs. Also adding the "no class restrictions file" caused crashes so that didn't work properly either. The key is taking the time to test everything out before submitting. I have a funny feeling that when you add things (like the traffic cars) into the car section you cause problems in the game. Those cars where never meant to be played. I would take them out. Please don't overdo this project by doing ridiculous things. This is what seems to be leading to the corrupt files and crashes. No need for traffic cars in the store. I tested 1.6 out by also adding the cars to the first beta version and same thing happened so now I know what was the cause of the problems. You guys working on this are doing great.

FYI: This was the very first PC online peer-to-peer racing game I ever played. It was so cool back then. It had a window pop up in it where you added the IP address of your fellow mate you wanted to race with. All you have to do was type it in and hit send and you could race your buddy online. At the time it was hooked up to UBISOFT'S dedicated server but it used your offline files from your comp to work.

P.S. Also stopped using the single payer TE using the Overlook meeting place as a game start option. That also needs to be looked at better. Had problems getting that to work consistently.
