What you're looking at are false positives. If you feel as if it's not safe then don't use it. Although I can assure you that it's entirely clean. It has been publicly available for a while now without a single complaint.

I haven't released the source so it's not possible for it to be public (compiled to machine code as well). Although it's not packed (if it is then it's only UPX) so you could theoretically disassemble it if need be.

It was only a matter of due time.

All you need is a basic understanding of [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] and data types. If you have a general understanding of both of them then you should be fine. The packet data is broken down into various data types (primarily longs, words, bytes and strings) all in hexadecimal format. With a basic understanding of the two you can start to understand the protocol format and what data is held at what position and what it stands for. A prime example is the opcode is a single byte (sometimes two) which is an identifier for the packet type. An example would be 0F would identify the packet as a chat packet and so on and so forth. This is the purest form of true hacking power in any game (abusing protocol). So it can be quite beneficial and also be very deadly to those who grasp the concept of it. All I have been hearing for the past two weeks is peoples servers have been constantly crashing due to people using LCPE to abuse server side code. I didn't write it for that purpose initially but it serves as an example of the endless possibilities at this level of software abstraction.

So ever since the initial release of LCPE I have been tweaking on its source code here and there whenever I got bored. Today I will be releasing LCPE v2. Improvements and new features will be outlined below.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

What does v2 offer over the original?
  • Code improvements.
  • Proper freeing and exiting of LCPE module on exit.
You can now close and re-inject LCPE into the same client without needing to reload the client.
  • Added ability to use GM chat.
Enabling GM chat will turn your normal ingame chat into GM chat. You will be able to send chat messages as if you were a GM. GM chat is limited to the same area as normal chat. So only players around you will be able to see it. Your name will not be displayed in the chat box to other players when using GM chat.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
  • Improved parsing methods to help prevent client lockups (it will still lock up under a heavy enough load).
  • Added the option to keep LCPE on top of all windows (for fullscreen users).

LCPE v2 is only a marginal update over LCPE v1. I have removed the option to send a packet in a loop as it is not immensely beneficial. LCPE v1 will remain posted and you may use that in order to retain said functionality. I may update LCPE more in the future but I wouldn't count on another release (unless it's a critical bug fix release).

As always,
Enjoy :pimp:
