wampserver you do not always need, my database is running with no wamp

how to connect username and pass ? i use test and test , but it say ..

You need to put your ip (likely you just need 127.0.0.1) in the hostname. Otherwise you are trying to connect to our acme servers and that just wont work :P

I never got this tool to work but VERY nice job on it guys xD

im getting mixed msgs on how to get this tool to work which is it, add a new user in navicat for mysql, add the files from gmtool.sq, or just type 127.0.0.1 and id and pass<----doesnt work so that ones out. help!?

ok i got in but now its not finding any of the ppl in the database

i can't connect at all it always says unable to connect to acmetest.servergame.net could this be something to do with my mysql version? mine is 4.0.18nt

lol..at the hostname type in your ip..this should work..not choose what the hostname..just type in..

when i use it i cant connect whne i use my mysql login and password and server1 it said failed to connect, its on my desktop with no other files, can some1 gimmie a guide on how to use it? thank you

ok small guide:



Login - put login name that you have set on your DB (mostly it is test or root when you use DB from this forum... but can be differen) (You can as well change it via Navicat or other DB explorer

Pass - you put here password that is set for this login described (mostly its test...)

hostname - here you must put IP not the Database so you should write 127.0.0.1 for e.g.
if this not help try make hostname as ur db name

As myself because I have more than 1 DB locally (test server) I was using DB name to use this tool

So example of proper filled is:

test test my

then click "connect"
tq

or 1 more step
Just put it where you will have possibility to access DB.
For example:

locally on server where you are running mysql.
run this tool
put in:
login: root (your mysql login)
pass: test (your mysql password)
localhost: my (your DB name)
and connect...

After this - you should be connected and new options will be available to use... like banning etc...
