The only reason I know, that the address would not work on another computer is because the FFXIV language is different. I am not sure what to do.

Hi. First, this is very nice bot, thanks for making it.
Im having a problem with the bot reloading the bait after it has run out - can you help me out? When the array:ListView pops up, I have Crab Ball in the entries 1-4, then I "X" out the window and press OK. It still doesnt reload the bait after the stack is finished, what am i doing wrong?
Thanks

When the bot is changing bait does it type anything at all?
Or
Do you just need to get your 'Crab balls' on the array list?

If you need to get the 'Crab balls' on the array list, then;
Once the input window pops up after exiting the array list, you will need to type this: Crab Ball,
Leave the rest blank. You only need to enter the item once and the bot will filter through all your 'crab balls'. If you wish to add another type of bait do this:Crab Ball,Bloodworm,

Edit: also the INI should say:
ChangeBait=Yes
in the [fishing] section

the bot just continues to fish without any bait.
I am able to get the items into that array list and those show up there fine. The setting in the ini file are correct as well.
Also the fish counters (fish obtained and fish lost) just stay at zero - this isnt really a problem for me though.
Have anyone else been able to get the bait change/refill to work?

Edit: something I noticed in game - and this may be a bug with the client itself: when I type /equip pack lugworm, the lugworm gets equipped and all is good. however, when i type /equip pack crab ball, nothing happens. When i try /equip pack Moth Pupa, this also fails. Does it seem like a client side bug when the bait is more than one word?

Edit Again, OK the problem is that I need to surround the bait in quotes when the bait is more than 1 word. for example /equip pack "Moth Pupa" works correctly.

hmm my language is English. The rest of the bot works great though! I'll mess around with it and see what I can do.

@Steve,
It seems you have the same issue that koji has.
The bot is not reading the chatbox for some reason.

I really cannot understand why it works on my PC and not others. The memory pointer always points to the same address(chat box) and display the correct text, when I close/open ff xiv. I am really at a standstill if everyone is having this issue. Doesn't make sense.

Well you said that you're running on Vista, correct? Could it be that we are running on Win7?
08/22/2011 05:27 steve782#54
im on win 7 as well, lets try to run it with vista in compatibility mode?
08/22/2011 05:28 13ouncer#55
I am going to test windows 7 after the FF xiv update finishes

I also started running into a problem where the bot will fish once then gives the message "Fish time expired, closing widget." I haven't changed anything and it even does it on a fresh download, but it didn't do it at all for the 7 hours that I ran it last night.

@Koji
Does your INI have this in it:
FishAddress2=0055C2C4
FishOffsetTxt0=0
FishOffsetTxt1=26
