Confirming this. FFXI-Boot when creating a character is having a problem somewhere. Though mXi does not.

Dark Star has login/logout login-retry delays. Where you have to wait a certain amount of time before the server cleans out your character. It's barely noticeable when you log out properly. But if you crash then you will notice it more.

problem with mob hp regen after u die: when we were fighting leaping lizzie my partner died and the mob hp refilled while i was attacking still.

Are you sure your talking about the Dark Star server? This is another case where it sounds like you were playing on Azure Sky..

I read from your early post about the new FFXI official updates on 7/11 is incompatible with PXI or DLX?
does that mean none of the private server is going to work at this point?

my mxi crashes whenever I'm trying to attack on a mob.
it was all working until I reinstalled ffxi and upated it recently.
i'm trying to figure it out what's causing it to keep crashing like that.

That is correct Exoteric. The 7/11 update is not compatible with old DLX/PXI/Spira/Neverwinter/1430 servers and is the reason for your client crashing when you attack a mob. Thankfully this has been fixed on the Dark Star and Azure Sky servers. Players using the 7/11 update are able to play w/o any problems on either of them.

so all i have to do now is to replace the files in playonline/squareEnix/finalfantasyXi with the new patch files? then checkfiles with pol and i'm good to go?

the server works fine for the most of the part, but i get freeze up whenver i talk to npcs like the signet npc by the gate and npcs for supportjob quest aren't letting me get quest
even at lvl 27. i get freeze up everytime i tried to talk to him
i need some help maybe something I didn't do right?

Having trouble locating the download to dark star as well as the other FFXI servers you run. I would greatly appreciate assistance, miss this game alot!
