Hey guys!
The New Dawn's beta is here!... Not. We want to leave the decision to you. We have two ideas for the beta.
As you may know, the staff of a New Dawn is on the smaller side. We want to provide the best possible experience for every player. We already decided once on the delay. We don't want to repeat past mistakes.
The former beta idea was to provide almost the same environment as the "actual" release. A lot of custom content requires time, of course. We miss a bunch of things we would like to bring from day 1, such as custom masteries and simplified questline.
Today, we came up with a new idea - go for the easy, well-known concept, with high server rates. Among the features that will go live from the 1st day of the beta, we can name the following: reduced map loads, file protection (no more cheaters editing the client), and some surprises in mob drops. We want to introduce an early version of the Item Mall - after the beta, we would return 80% of the coins. But that's not all! Except for the high rates, cheap IM, and a lot of QoL fixes, we would bring the patches from the actual development straight into the beta. For the developers, let's call it an Agile approach. Long story short - we will bring multiple patches during the beta, which you will have a chance to try out before they land on the actual server.
Let's decide on the future of the server by voting on the StrawPoll! [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] is the link for the poll.
