I just came back after 2 months or so, and read the news.
I think it was unavoidable: the admin put much effort in the server, but probably ran out of time and money...Or Atlantica doesn't want to have an English Private Server!
Maybe getting a server up and running and starting asking for donations/putting IM was the first thing to do before testing...
Well, good luck to the next brave people that will attempt to create another PServer :D

Hey folks.
I really have to give you our excuses for the long down time.
What happened?
We tried to move the server to a datacenter for better connectivity and the server itself got physically damaged during the transport. After that we had a long argumentation with the responsible transport company about the costs of data recovery and replacement of other broken system parts.
Now the server is physically fixed and back into my hands.
It's back online in the same state as it went down.
Over the coming weekend we will move it "vitually" to the datacenter, means, we have placed there another server and will transfer the VM's that are holding the AO Server and the AO Database over there which can take several hours depending on our upload speed.
But til then the server will be up and running (despite the possibility of outages due to whatever stupid idiots hitting poles with inet cables or power outages).
