Gangbanging Dupping items

hm, I dont think this work but I did "almost" dupe an item :p, I had my main computer logged on was sitting in market selling some stuffs, and then I logged on my 2nd computer and put the item in wh, after that I logged on my main again and it had the items on it (in tc) so i checked to market wh cuz i thou i putted it there, and yup there it was so I took that item out and tryed to equip one of em and it worked
then i tryed to equip the other on and it also worked BUT when i tryed to sell one of em I got an Server messages saying invalid item or sumthin like that
and Im a warrior so i cant equipp 2 items :/ maybe it will work for somone else, maybe not to sell but to buy 1 weapon and dupe it and u got 2 of em with sam ID but there is still two :)

Rather then wasting time trying to make client side dupe's you should use that time for socketing and making real items. 20pct is nothing secondly you cant just randomly create new items unless its serverside because the server checks item unless you can add it to the database then your wasting your time. This seems like another "give me + karma cause I got the secret that doesnt work and im emo post"

really its just client sided its a fake just for ur own eyes !
08/12/2006 09:23 G-Unot#36
if it only works 20% of the time y the fuck do u even try?
08/12/2006 09:23 G-Unot#37
+ its a bunch of BS

It is a load of bullshit as many people here have just said, no point in really trying

Hello...

I have read some of the post on this topic and all I see is a large amount of people saying every item in the game has a UNI ID.. and well that is not true where some items may have this the majority does not it would over load the database and make the lag far more than it is already... The way the item database works is more like this.

UserID (your characters assigned server ID )

Item number (this is the ID number of the item )
Amount of Item ( in case Item is like money I will place this here )

so lets say you ID number is like ( 1337 ) and you had 256 silver( 56 ) and a bunch of Amrita ( 720010 ).
Quote:

charID | #Items | Item type | This is for WH or Inv | This is for if Item Eq
1337 256 56 0 0
1337 10000 56 1 0
1337 1 720010 0 0
1337 1 720010 0 0
1337 1 720010 0 0
1337 1 720010 0 0
1337 1 720010 0 0
1337 1 720010 0 0
1337 1 720010 0 0
the 0 and 1 are to show weather it is in wh or inv same would be for weapons or armor being 0 ( inv ) 1 (eq)

I already know you all are wondering well how does the server know if my item is different form a normal item or a special item well that get a bit more complex so let see.

it would have a form slot for all the different types ( normal Ref Uni Eli Sup ) meaning it would simply place a 1 or a 0 in the correct slot as well if it was +? it would have a slot for that as well and so on.

I know this sounds alot of work but it brake it down easer for the admin's running the server. allowing them to edit items at random and fully testing the game.

So from all this we have learned each character has a assigned ID Number every item has a default ID number and that the structure set up of the user items table is rather complex yet easily understood.

The way the server tracks items is not by a UNI id number , but rather by logs...

Ahh.. just clicked submit and for got to say that the reason it is hard to dupe items is because this information is located server side.. so in order to dupe you must ether trick the server database or simply input this information there yourself.. thus reading and re-sending packets.

any question comments please post back...

hmm 2 thoughts:

1) screenshot plox?
2) ever heard of lag...

the guy here before told this already, but every item indeed DOES have an unique ID number on the server of CO. In case of loss of an item thats how CO can see if you bs-ing them or not. In my case I lost my 2s armor after maintance... took me about 2 emails spams to get a GM on it but its safely back on me :)

btw... why would u see if you can dub pots? ofcourse those have the same ID number... try a single and double sock weapon... wanna bet those are different? :)

Morale of the story: dub items... just can not work

You think they would have dismissed it at something that doesn't work when the thread died all those months ago...

Not to mention it won't matter in a few days, CO is dead, it will cease to exist very, very, soon.

I don't belive that..It's just rubbish. They wouldn't implement so many new stuff in Co(imagine all the work) like new items(their place appears at the info section where you can check out equipped items)
Y the hell would they add new items if they want to stop co?
Besides CO is probably a good money-factory ,'cause there are many DB buyers.
