My friend and I had a very strange situation. A few months ago, we started using cheats. Before that, we never had. We mainly played Warzone Ranked.
We had read about different methods, and whenever one account got banned, we would switch to another account. That was basically how we kept grinding accounts, since the shadow bans were usually removed after about 7 days.
One day I was playing normally, and I changed my in-game account name. After that, the game restarted, and when I logged back in, I was greeted with an unpleasant surprise: a "HWID BAN". After that happened, all of the accounts I had been playing on were removed from the shadow-ban list.
The next day, my friend also received a HWID ban.
After that, I got around the HWID ban by changing components in my PC. I played normally that day without any cheats, but for some reason I couldn't stop thinking about it, so I asked my cheat provider to set me up with a permanent spoofer and a cheat.
That evening, I logged into my main account, which was as old as Warzone itself, dating back to 2019. It was over level 1000, I had already pre-ordered MW4 on it, had 5,000 CP coins, and countless other things. It was a very valuable account to me.
I played one game, and the next morning I woke up to an email from Activision saying that my account had been permanently banned.
This all happened around the time the MW4 beta was released.
