That's what I'm telling you guys. I've conducted tests with a variety of accounts and proxies I have on hand and can tell you for a fact that the only thing that causes accounts to get detected as "potential alternate accounts" is if multiple accounts log into the same IP or exist on the same subnet (e.g. anyone with 149.32.46.xx will get flagged).Quote:
okay so you test it,
play a multiple accounts from different ip's without clearing trace files
you will be linked as alts 100 percent
CF Cloud does detect "traces", but the traces that CF Cloud is referring to is not related to game files. The traces are specifically in regards to tracking what Steam accounts have logged in with the same IP, and which account names that IP has a history with. Traces are considered verified information.
The "potential alternate accounts" that Cf Cloud lists, on the other hand, isn't verified information. It's a combination of accounts verified to connect via traces, as well as accounts that fall under the same IP subnet. This is what allows admin to see if someone is simply used a rotating/dynamic IP with a new account to sneak in.
Steam user databases keep track of every little thing you do publicly on your Steam account, and it's very easy for admins to use this to cross-reference and detect if any information connects the accounts together. I'm pretty certain that admins on certain popular community servers will do research into any account that catches their interest. If the admin sees that the account has little to no history or was recently created, it's safe to say the admins will assume you're an alt and will ban you without evidence because it raises too many red flags.
So it purely comes down to
1) Fresh IP, different subnet. (Ideally, different location too)
2) Different/New Steam Account
3) Account cannot appear fresh or created for the purpose of playing on a specific server
4) New playername. Because playername sticks to your DayZ configuration across accounts, this is the only thing that can be detected as a "trace" across accounts. You don't need revo uninstaller, you simply need to change your name before joing a server.
I spent $40+ to figure this information out, so unless you also purchased CF Cloud's highest level of membership and saw something that I didn't, let me know specifically what I missed and where I can find it. Otherwise I can comfortably say that admins don't have special abilities to scan computers - but admins have a range of tools to reach a conclusion.
