Recruiting (talented) developers for silkroad

Attix12 is right, it does take alot of developers, or a few genuinenesses, but they got windy, so they will have alot of help from him,

Yea, you can do alot with hamachi, when i didnt played silkroad, there were Runscape private servers running on hamachi, and maplestory servers..Hamachi makes a 2nd internet connection, that is running from your computer, so everybody can connect to your computer instead of port forwarding..but i still recommend, port forward, because with hamachi you get some big fat laggs.

I still wonder why on earth sro hasnt got a decent emulator yet. There are so many projects.

If you look at other games like Aion. It has a pretty decent emulator (not finished yet) programmed with java. You can fight, Do quests. You can do pretty much everything there.

There just has to get one big project. Where everyone can contribute their own piece of an emulator. Im sure you will have a nice emulator within 4-6 months. Not saying it would be finished within that time. But most of the stuff is working. You can fight. Do some quest etc. All the details will come after that.

I dont see it happen though. Sro will never get a decent emulator.

I just wish you goodluck with your project. Thats all I can say

Well it doesn't really matters on what language it is being done until it's coded the right way. If you use DSremu for base it is a fail from the beginning. If you think of finishing it and trying to get a lot of ppl inside a server with that emu then combining VB and SQL DB will be a very big problem. Never the less they are a problem alone. I recommend you using SQL for nothing more then tests and then moving to smth faster.
Anyway good luck but from what I see at the start it's just another project that will be forgotten in 2 weeks.

aion private servers opened the first day it was released cuz ppl cud get the files from the cd =)

hamachi doesnt suck if u have a good internet connection , near ur host. it actually does suck but nevertheless, its still fun playing with 1-2 friends on sremu via hamachi ^^
