I also believe it isn't my fault people decided to ignore the comments I made about the actual topic and focus on a tiny detail that I mentioned about past experience and made the whole thing about it. This is how it's always been and well I normally don't ignore people, I have no intention of ruining anybody's topic. Therefore, I would love to see what 'unexpected' thing is waiting for me Spidy.

I created this thread so Silkroad players will have a look and change their view towards Private Silkroad destiny and future.

@Exo you can keep the thread opened, but if the hassles continued, sure, go ahead and take the required action towards it.

The thing is Stath, most of the servers are protected by resellers since they offer cheaper services except the big ones which were mentioned in the first page.

Let's stop at this point. If you are going to compare someone who's going to hire re-sellers services and Hyperfilter services, then you didn't get the main idea of this thread.

Put in mind hyperfilter is a well-known company in ddos mitigation and proxy protection and it has 99.9% Up time and nearly impossible chances for down times, unless there is an error in the routing path which will lead to a drop in the connection. Speaking of re-sellers most of them offer the worst DDoS protection ever and they don't include exploit protection. At least if you hired Hyperfilter 70$ package you'll be protected against most of the known exploits around. Until you get exploited by an unknown exploit you'll have to use Torque or any other crap packet filter around.

So this gives you more chance to get more players as a server owner (Hiding behind Hyperfilter's mantle), by what Hyperfilter company has done, these guys will just stop using Hyperfilter because they can't afford 300$ package monthly and they will go for re-sellers and by then, they will have more chances to lose their server stability by way or another. this is basically what I meant to say.

HyperFilter is a well known trusted company, there is absolutely no doubt about that but I don't think you understand what resellers do. I don't know if this is right or how it exactly works since I never worked as a reseller but from the looks of it. They buy a huge HyperFilter server and with that server, they have a certain number of proxy IPs that they're allowed to generate with whatever specifications they want to a specific limit and people pay rental for these IPs because at the end of the day they still comes from HyperFilter and it could possibly have the same qualities. That's what I've been trying to clarify.

I expected a nice discussion about private servers & DDoS protection shit, ending up reading some kind of 'flamewar' between akasch & wicked vs bodo.

Somehow i'm satisfied so far.

When I read the first post I had no intentions to ruin the topic, but when we see bodo trying to be the smartest in the world, it's just silly.
