Oh awesome :D Hopefully the captcha hasn't hit you too many times. It's pretty much unpredictable nowadays. With Delia Crush out I have some updates to do and hopefully I can't get them done today since that's my day off.

Haha, honestly.. I haven't even spent a minute in-game to even get a captcha..
At first I was crashing during the tutorial, playing as delia, and now I get errors when trying to pick a name.

this still works?

I play in the TW server but I am currently residing in Singapore. The Ping there is great and all the events and updates is also just as good as they say. We are getting Delia next week and I am curious to know if your patches are translated til that point. As of the moment, I am currently using your KR patch to translate TW to English.

Latest patches are now in place for all 3 servers. Major updates have been done and I finally have SOME breathing room xD Maybe I can start keeping up with everything now that the holidays have passed.

I'll make an attempt to get a hold of the TW server so I can make one for you.

The way the captcha system works (based on my experience as well as what my guild has told me) It's based on how many times you farm one dungeon at once unless that account has been flagged as a possible bot.

Yes this does. I've been trying to keep this updated with all the holidays hitting but with that done I can easily keep up now.

Hiya, thanks a bunch!!!! You really are the MVP, without your translations, I would not be able to play Vindictus at all :mofo:

Anyway, thanks for attempting to translate TW's patch as well however I wrongly assumed that they were going to release Delia on the 13th. Instead, her preview was released but they have mentioned a very soon coming debut for her to the server, possibly on the 18th.

In any case, someone has taught me how to use another Vindictus' version (e.g KR) translation patch for the TW server. Although It would be nice to have the TW server one translated as I do understand a little bit of Chinese but for now I'll use the other ones xD

Normally you would just replace the "korean" part in the name to "taiwan" however I'm finding it rather difficult to get the game to detect the patch overall. It's like TW programmed it different. I tried every localized text tag there is for the folder structure in regarding TW but to no avail. I have 8 hour shifts for the next 3 days but I will see what I can muster up.

To Everyone: I noticed the lack of instructions on installing the patch which I deeply apologize for. No one really told me on that since everyone else found it easy to do but I should have that thought that up first and for most. Installation instructions have been added...or...really a general idea of it....when time comes (which is soon) I will see on making a more detailed guide on the main thread.

Yeah, I assumed that's how it was done but I've yet to try it before as someone has already set up a translation file for me. Usual stuff, made a folder called resource, another called localized_text inside it followed by taiwan folder and the file itself. The file itself was simply named, heroes_text_taiwan. I'm not sure if he did anything special to the file but he's mentioned that in the future, I could simply replace the region name with taiwan (e.g heroes_text_korea to taiwan).

Anyway, your work is greatly appreciated and all the best in getting the TW patch to work! :-D

Edit:
Just out of curiousity though, is it possible to translate future content for a version of Mabinogi Heroes that has yet to receive it?

It is possible to translate even the stuff from the Test Server. However until my new PC is built I cannot since Test Server was vastly changed in the Ancient Glas update. It doesn't run on non-Korean Windows Installations (my suspicion really) so I have to test that once my new PC is built. I have 2 parts left which is a little over $900 in total but once that's all taken care of I can go back to my normal translations straight from Test Server :D

Ah I see! so most (or all?) translated content comes from the test server.

In any case, outstanding work on the translations and good luck on building your new rig! :-D

Ps. if you wanted to know if the patch works fine for other users, I've downloaded the KR to ENG translation and used it for the TW server. Works just fine!

Oh lovely. Would it be possible if you can post the folder structure by any chance? I still haven't gotten it working and what you tell be states I am clearly doing something wrong xD. If not then no worries I can just provide the updated translations and let you guys handle the TW porting.

UPDATE: Season 3 Chapter 2 Episode 1 has hit the Live Servers so starting MAYBE tonight I will work on translating that as well as other previous content missed.

Not a problem! I'm at work now though so I'll provide a screenshot of the TW folder structure later on in the evening 8pm (+8 GMT) But someone on reddit gave me a guide on how to do it and all I did was create the respective folders in the main directory to insert the translation file into. (E.g resource>localized_taiwan>taiwan or something like that, I'll edit this post with a proper tutorial later on my apologies) However, if I use the KR or JP patch, the untranslated bits will remain in either KR or JP which is no issue for me.

Also, sweet!! TW is being updated with Delia and the revamps for kai and Vella next Tuesday so hopefully that'll be translated by that time if you're free to do it :-D

EDIT:

Sorry I'm late but here's the screenshots as requested

I simply just manually created the resource folders for the translation patch basically, since there was no folder to begin with.

You can very easily convert his patches to be compatible with TW version.

For example, if you download his patch for JP, this is where you would normally have to put it.
C:\Nexon\Heroes\ja-JP\resource\localizedtext*japanese*\heroes_textjap anese.txt

Simply change "japanese" to "taiwan" as shown in italics and put it in MHTW folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\GarenaMHTW\Apps\MHTW\resource\localizedtext* taiwan*\heroes_texttaiwan.txt

Would be nice if you could re-write the test-server tutorial since mine is pretty much outdated if you make it work.

Good luck :)

Everything is 100% correct like yours.....that's REALLY weird. That's originally how I ported the other patches to begin with.

Odd :confused::confused:

Do firewalls or any sort of program blocking APP obstruct the translation patch to be applied? At least porting over the other translation files to TW seem to work just fine though
