Mabinogi: Heroes English Patch [KR, JP, and CN]

After a few months of searching for an up to date English translation patch for the Korean Server I came across none that were up to date. So I was suggested to making a since no one really updates it anymore. So this happened

As of Recent 11-29-2016: The patch will not be updated for some time for a long while. I do apologize sincerely but there are some future plans I am working on make happen which involves me moving to another state for this new job. Depending on if I get the new job or not will determine if I will continue this patch or not. If so then I will no longer be able to continue the patch. If I don't get the job then I can continue the patch to the fullest. I will try giving everyone more updates when the time comes.

Installation: Assuming you are inside the Nexon Folder itself just copy the resource folder into the main Vindictus install location for example I will use the KR path to give you all an idea:
C:\Nexon\Heroes\ko-KR

Announcement: This patch update now includes Legion of Death content straight from the Test/Live Server (since certain content wasn't added in Test Server). It's currently incomplete on the Legion of Death as well as Season 3 Chapter 2 Episode 2 but those are still in the works.

IMPORTANT:No matter what circumstance it is DO NOT contact me for Private Server Help. I want no part in the work of Private Servers. That is FAR beyond any risk I will do for working on a game. As for everyone else. I can not stress this enough but avoid ANY private server activity. Nexon is well aware of them happening. I don't know what legal charges can happen for Copyright Infringement in certain countries or if having a private server is considered copyright infringing. But as an example since S. Yeah that is all I did. The issue is however the NPC quotes and button choices don't translate but I am working on finding a way to fix it. Though I get the feeling I will need to write a dependent file for the patch to translate that section as well. Or...possibly copy a few other files to the patch.

So. does this patch work to 100%? has anyone tried it yet? o:

SakuraFarron uses it as well. It's still not in 100% working condition because it won't translate the NPC quotes or the UI buttons for the NPC's yet. BUT it translates everything else. Items, skills, places, dungeons, titles, etc. Skeleton Gear isn't translated yet either. I have yet to find the entry in the KR file for it.

Ah anytime. CN's patch is easier made since it doesn't require the Koreana txt file. But does the UI text and player choice buttons work as well?

The KR Patch is now up to date and on Par with NA's translation database again. Sadly no solution for the UI, NPC, and player choices translation was found. I will keep trying to develop a workaround that works with the patch.

Alright so I have become relatively busy with Blade and Soul CN with client language Translation so I won't be able to keep up with Mabinogi Heroes CN and KR anymore. Here is the page I learned from on how to create the patch.

Decided to start translating again and I went farther than I was able to. Found most of KR's text files and made progress. OP is now updated :3

Hey everyone. I've started playing this game about a month ago and was making translations of my own. Recently I've found that dragonblade here has been working on an English patch so I've reached out to him about translation and will start helping out. I've combined his recent patch and mine together to form an up-to-date patch.

This patch includes:

- All of Arisha translated and some titles renamed
- Some missing blank items, missing buffs/debuffs
- The current event with the rice cakes.
- The 3rd Nifleheim raid Zecallion (Quest progression, screen messages while battling him, etc)
- Some text changes to fit some windows
- The Season 2 quest "Lost and Damned" has been renamed to "Lost and Cursed" (This is because damned is apparently a curse word in the game so you couldn't start the mission without changing the party title name)
- Other things that I probably don't remember

I've sent over the updated text file to dragonblade a bit ago to read and maybe make some slight alterations so whenever he updates the google link in the first page, you can consider this an "unofficial release". Of course, if you're skeptical, you can always wait until he updates the link. Anyways here it is:

Just replace the heroes_text_korean.txt with this one under the resource/localized_text and you're good to go.

I play on the live server rather than the test server so maybe I'll see some of you on.

Awesome job. Dunno why I didn't rename "Lost and the Damned". Must've never fully clicked in my head. I'm trying to make time finish the untranslated stuff. Though I'm currently working on the CN Translation which the CN file uses the original and the CHN command for the text and found the CHN commands override the original. Thus causing me to delete the CHN commands as well editing a few commands.
