The only known big booters atm are : Sh3ll_T4am(Or we) , Jangan ( He left ) , Elder -> Mircea -> PlayOnGrid and few more but still don't pay those shit untill you are 100% sure he has a big booter, otherwise he may just be a fucker with a 1gbps booter ( 10$ menz ) that makes fun of people ..
You can mitigate low DDoS attacks even without a protection so stay safe , don't pay those shits !

Please don't involve my name into such crap. I've done it several times, and I'll keep doing it - a linux-based machine will help a lot on these weak-kiddy-wanna-be-ddos-attacks, which in 80% the cases are DOS, and not DDos attacks.
I'm not after the money, i barely have time due to my real-life work at the moment.
my job has far more responsibility (and complexity) than a silkroad server, and therefore comes in first place ;)

Anyway - unfortunately there is no other option for you besides setting-up a linux-machine with the proper config, to get an overpriced anti-ddos service, or simply pay the mafia member his cash. but, as has been said before - if you pay him once, why shouldn't you pay him twice? ;) this circus will never stop.
