Nothing more to say or add. I completely agree.

Undoubtedly one can barely deny that server files are better than emulators but creating a stable, functioning, well-structured and open source in the meantime is completely impossible under any circumstances due to several reasons, A- Sro community is greedy therefore one will barely contribute anything instead he would just copy the emulator, add his credits, compiles and use for himself and then he will be like "After few years of developing I've got this awesome emulator look the character can walk around the area !", B- Sro is dead already with those shit tons of private servers waiting their each of them with 1 /2 player maximum you can barely find a server which has more than 300 players ? (Except for few names which I won't mention or it would be counted as advertising ?) C- "IF" someone started emu project he won't go advanced more than zelos so start using zelos then if you want to begin with emulator. About the server files I've always been asking myself about the myth behind hyperfilter which appeared of nowhere while playsro was attacking the servers themselves and suddenly everybody knew there was "hyperfilter" no one ever knew where it came from, no one asked himself how did it come ? I guess -though I'm not 100% sure- that it the ddos attacks and hyperfilter both have some kind of relationship -maybe paying them to stop ddosing you ?- I believe that's just not normal because hyperfilter support are not really professional staff and the way they act is suspicious -They said once for me that we've protected your server with more than your package- Seriously ? that's really either being so kind with your customers or just being the attacker himself ? pretty obvious, isn't it ? and really with server files you're very limited to what you can do. Creating new models ? Creating new skills ? Creating new "race" ? do it but still you won't be as professional as joymax unless you get access to all their secrets such as .bsk files .ban files or whatever -I'm not in those stuff to be honest-. Final word if sro community won't unite -and that won't happen I'm sure- sro will be dead unless one of those things would happen, we've miracle or joymax employee betrays them and leaks the source code -which won't happen sooner or later- in fact you should wait for sro 2 because sro 1 is dead -at least for me-.

Yap -_- This is the Truth, you're pretty limited with those Files and I doubt in the Future we have Tools like a Animation Converter, EFP Creator, BSK Creator/Duplicator, Map Editor, Collision Editor, BMT/BSR Editor.

That's why Emulators are better, you could basically add a third Race without Problems and not like on those Limited Testfiles...

An emulator would not enable you to create a new race without problem, unless you would recreate the entire silkroad server files, we would still be limited on what we could add (don't forget, the model system is still undocumented, and will be, even if we get a 100% functional emulator) depending on what we can do with the client, which might be less limited than the server files, it still is fairly limited
