lol i see no problem with fang being a moderator, he's shown he's matured over the last year or so, and he's clearly knowledgeable enough to fill the spot. let him have a go if he wants

This section needs badly a moderator. He seems up to the task. And from the very few up to do it, he is the only one willing to.

Anyways i'd like to share my opinion. The conquer section isn't moderated well at the moment, that section needs active and experienced moderator just like Fang. He moderated 'that forum' I don't want to mention it, and he did a great job though. Most of the members didn't respect him because he was honest, for example me and I feel sorry for that now.

And he hasn't infracted anyone without a reason, i've been following him on 'that forum'. My point is stop hating on Fang only because he's a knowledged programmer and person, if you don't like Fang's opinions then improve yourself and stop being jealous of him.

You, Fang, got big yes from me and good luck.

Well you may or may not know me, but despite my low reputation here I still do know Fang rather well. He is very active and has the knowledge for what that section needs. I would say he would be a great addition to the the staff over the CO2 section. So my vote is yes!

i Agree with you. last few days i have seen many old threads coming back from 2010 etc, i agree there is threads that are useful and can be bumped ones a while but some people just bump the wrong and useless ones which flood the forum with spam threads.

and by knowing fang he is active and i am sure he can tell which thread goes where and which thread must be closed.

and as you can see yes his English is very proper better then any so far i talked to, he use very proper words to finish his comments, sometimes he given me hard time because i need to go Google and search what the hell his words mean XD

It's not just that old threads are being bumped (because that's not too bad if it's completely relevant), it's multiple cases of spam advertisements, missing linkbacks, posting to wrong sections, and off-topic arguments. The section really does need a replacement moderator as soon as possible, permanent or temporary until a replacement can be decided on. And thank you, I appreciate your viewpoint on the dilemma. Hopefully things will be running smoothly again soon.

As long as it's a discussion, I'm fairly certain that multiple posts are fine. What the staff wants to avoid is one person spamming the thread with the same opinion. Agreeing and elaborating on the opinions of others in the thread in the form of a discussion is what brings urgency to the problems in the section that need to be addressed. Thanks for your concern though, it's always nice to have a clean, on-topic discussion.

I believe he's indeed capable of doing the job and therefore I support this application.

Made a post in the complaint section about how conquer section needs mods and PM'd admin but no one will even comment on the situation apparently.

The section is getting absolutely ridiculous and something needs to be done about it SOON. I'm talking next couple days level of soon.

Fang is more than capable to this job, he's active and helpful. Despite his actions and reactions in the past; he's more matured now. Definite yes.
