it's simple.. It's the ddos-protection-company..

Yea the DDoS company do commit a crime to gain money sure... And have you seen them advertising thier protection directly to these servers? I havnt so bit pointless and a waste of money for them to do such a crime. Not worth it at end of the day. So not so simple well might seem that way for your simple mind cos you cant think things through and the same for everyone else that comes to such a conclusion...

Well if you buy protection there, they will keep attacking bigger for you to buy a package which is more expensive. The solution is not buying a hardware firewall from there, the best solution is to buy a REAL ddos protection from old-known protecters (who can f*ck hyperfilter.)

if they do that then im sure you can sue them for not obeying the contract's statament and hurting the consumer. the fact that the consumer is a ilegal private server is unrelevent because the contract is most probably made by a person not on a company behalf

Can I sue them? Without any proof, just with my feeling that they ddos me.

well for example you buy protection from them , then they ddos you ontop of their protection , would be logical to assume that there is somekind of exploit going on. you can allways sue companies as such for not respecting their part of the agreement. if they offer you protection and then their ddos takes it down you can sue them not for ddos but for not respecting the contract

and like that you shoot 2 birds with 1 bullet

Would you like to know why?

DID ANY of YOU, looked at their server stats?

They have lost more than 100.000 players, since files are out.

Joymax does give a big fu*k about the pservers, if they wouldnt, why they would merge all their servers?

Seriously...
How come? the total players on the private servers wont even pass the 7k...

Cause it's simply a waste of time to start attacks against small servers with a pretty small income - just sayin ^^
And if theres 2 different attackers?
One of them > Brings down big servers to make them buy a protection
Second one > Attacks all servers (including new / weak servers) to bring people to their server
Well that wouldn't fit to theory of the Protection company - I mean that doesn't make sense if they attack all servers to make players leave in order to join to larger ones with a protection on. I mean they've got the protection already why would they support 'em still - would result into a lower income as well.
I might have misunderstood something though :)

You got a point there. But i am thinking they don't really know how many players does a server have, etc. I don't think they check errosoft or other capacity pages. They simply attack all servers that are easy to find for them hopeing that one of them will buy protection. For example, we were the firsts to get attacked even though at that time our server wasn't the biggest just because we were first in xtremetop100...

I don't have a server anymore, just helping a guy.
Yeah the IPs are from all around the world. USA, Canada, Australia, Mexico, China,etc... weird.
Not sure if it's and udp or ssyn flood.
