[RELEASE] Granny2 Animations in 2.4 format - GrannyConverter by ricky92

05/31/2012 15:04 ricky92#31
I had to update the download link, as someone appears to have reported it (and mediafire took it down, even though it's a program created by me - how brilliant!).

It's hosted on my website now, so there shouldn't be any problem.

I actually have no idea, I never experienced the runtime error, but I guess it might be caused by the runtime conversion of incompatible models, so this might be a possibility.

Weapons could be converted even with the 2.6 exporter, but this converter allows animations to work in the native 2.4 format.

It might be one of the debuggers you have which installed a debugging service. From what I know, SoftIce/WinIce does that. Check if you have those services, and if you do, uninstall them.

What is wrong? I put the granny2.dll in the same folder as the converter...

Strange, I'm using a packer which should have made all the DLLs embed in the EXE file. Well, you shouldn't need an external granny2.dll, but if it still doesn't work (after removing it), then put a 2.4 DLL in the same folder of the exe and name it granny24.dll, and put a 2.6 DLL as well, named granny26.dll.
I uploaded them to my site, if anyone needs them:

Thank you very much, but if I want to start the client with the 2.6 dll, I got this error:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

It says that the procedure entry point couldn't be found in the dll :/
Isn't it compatible with the normal bins?

You don't need that DLL for the client. The client does not have to be modified at all, you just need those 2 DLLs to make the converter run (in your case, since it should work on its own normally).

Sorry, I hadn't even read this message until now :\ I am aware of this issue, the packer seems to be too aggressive and it somehow doesn't let users specify an output file from the commandline. I will try to address this problem and release a fixed version soon, I might even make a GUI to convert multiple files at once.
