[GUIDE] Multi Client VMware setup for any game (pic.s included)

How do I set up Internet?

HI, i manage to install the vm ware, VMware(R) Workstation ACE Edition, Version: 6.0.4 build-93057, installed window's xp in vm, install cabal SEA, update cabal sea, update xtrap, and it doesnt load after the xtrap update, what should i do?


my rig is Intel Quad Core Q6600 clock at 2.4ghz, 4gb ram, 8800GTS 512mb (G92), using vista ultimate 32bit.

i cant believe you would emulate an entire OS to run an extra char.
your using 5gb of hdd space as well as 500mb of ram just so you can shop!?

cant you just sandbox a new user on your already loaded machine?

Ize, that does NOT work, tried that about half a year ago. I tried that even with separate registry entries - didn't work.

I used NAT network and it work just fine, ur host must be LAN internet.

just gotta make sure xtrap/gg doesnt run on the same user

Are you really that strapped for hard drive space??

I have 4 gigs of ram.. 500mb isn't shit for me, but no you don't need to use that much ram to emulate. VMware is very easy for me to use and my main use of it is to run other bots not shops. I just used shops to fill in for 1 of my bots since Adobe was eating up the rest of my ram with 1900x1200 screenshots.

I have no idea what your talking about as far as a sandbox. :confused:
Edit: O you mean like starting up TwinR with a character you plan on botting with then opening additional Cabals to just setup as a shop... I'll try that.

if you have 4gb of ram and you arent using x64 windows then you arent getting but 3.5gb of it, thats including video ram
i have 2gb of ram + 1.5gb of video ram (2 8800GTXes in SLI) so im at my x86 cap for windows xp and i dont plan on switching to 64 or vista any time soon.

as for hd space i have 2x500gb hds in raid0 giving me 1tb hd space roughly (972gb total) and i use 70gb on drive c, 17 on F, 360 on G, and 4 on Z. so im at about half (around 480gb unused total)

now install vmware + xp on a vhd + cabal on that vhd and im losing another 6gb + 512mb of my 2gb of ram... yeah thats a good chunk.

edit: i see your running x64 - not a bad oc, is that on air? i pulled 4.2 on my e6600 on water, my 3dmark was 17001, but the score has expired now :( im not in the mood to push my system that far again, and its not winter. XD

i have a problem, the vmware gives me some error then the screen just turns black.

i was able to use and install the OS but everytime i login to a game or stay for a while on the desktop, it just hangs then gives me a black screen.

The host is still fine but the vmware desktop is pitch black.

Hi Izeliae may we know what sandbox program did u use? I've tried sandboxie but gameguard detect it as a threat and closes the game. :(

This was on air yes. Using a Zalman 9700. Now that it's summer and 100 degrees every day where i live I can't even think about hitting that til winter comes again. Matter of fact I turned her down to 3.4 to save some life on the cpu. 17001 seems kinda low for dual 8800gtx's. :cool:

it didn't work in my end... =( im from cabal phil. and it uses GG i think this method is not compatible with GG... Oh well i'll microsoft virtual server 2005

No it won't. I looked for VMware 6.5 on newsgroups and torrents and could not find it. If you don't run 6.5 beta it WILL NO WORK... Thank you on the comment for the guide but sounds like you didnt read it. :P
