The money they get its not that much from donations.
They get a lot from advertisement. That's how they get the money.
You think every single person that downloads something from TBP donates to them? Only the most wealthy and the most generous do that.
Of course they don´t want people to keep donating, they just want something so they are sure that they keep TBP running. It is not cheap to keep such a huge community like TPB.

Yes there is an ultimate way to "hide" your IP and your computer addresses.
