So it seems like we would be better off with a auto updater package program. otherwise you're just always c&p'ing updates every time the files change. it leaves room for less human error

but that takes time to frame one. so maybe not.

So you wipe'd the main game folder clean. took the saved files and copy them into the game host folder. so its now a fresh game install folder again.

then you take the Mod files and overwrite the clean files. inside the host game folder.

and you're still geting an error??

just asking to be very clear as to the steps not only for us but for anyone else who is reading.

First I copy the working file (fresh one) over the corrupted one, then I'm installing the mods and after that I start the game. I'll work for a some hours or a day but that's it.
I just logged in into my NA acc and the game gave me another "Paket Error !!" even after I copied the fresh one just 30min ago... . That's annoying as fuck.

Edit: It has nothing to do with the "exit" feature. At least it happend again without using it.

Try not just to keep copying over the files when it goes bad wipe the files. delte them. then copy over the clean files into the empty folder.

this may help. just give it a try.

then add the mod and overwrite the files.

I've asked several people, they all came to the same conclusion. You are running 5, going into game, doing as such and ect - then leaving it on. I've tested this on my machine & vmware & other people for me. You need to run 5 getting into game, then 6 when you are done to put the original files back, or you will get the packet error as such.

I've been ripping apart the client in memory looking for that check, do believe I have found it but nothing for-sure at this time but can easily say that you need to run 6 an put the files back, if that is not helping the case then something has been changed somewhere that is slinging the error and I'm blind an can't seem to find it.

The mod itself will get a overhaul on 2.5, derp will be & is functioning as intended though since 2.5 will be a bit different on live as opposed to the PTS patch I'll still have to do a slight update newho. Nothing for derp is really going to be hurt, since all it is, is x2game.dll update + game_pak update and I only do 2 things in the x2game and the rest is somewhere else that I'm using my memory addresses.

Just send me the mod for 2.5 if testing is needed, I'm not on the PTS.

Will do, will mostly just be script updates I don't see much anything else different that needs an update, even the prefab is the same..

My statement of them having a PTS, though, when I've already found numerous bugs in the 2.5 that are going to just give a field day for people to exploit, and none of them get fixed at all prior to launch and they have no idea how to proper bug test shit.. I swear trion has got to be the most dumbest fucking company I have ever come across as a whole to let some of the shit that goes through patches happen, it just is beyond me.

Will need to warn people though since the hud an some other thing's are subject to change, including the loading screen which will already be 2.5 that I'll have to gut/re-arrange and redo a bit in the mod so don't expect like, an instant day or 2 update since I'll need to sort it all an test everything and that derp is much easier and straight forward then going through all of these files.

Just asking people to be patient while I get it all in order and avoid some of the install parts since it will and yes you have been warned, will break your game more then likely, did the same concept in 1.6/7>2.0 and now 2.5 and always got everything updated. Granted the readme falls behind but that is just because I suck at those :(

hey im having a little bit of trouble with derp it keeps randomly closing but not giving any errors it closes ever 10 mins do you know what might be causing this issue

it works fine until it randomly closes

Can anyone tell me where the heck I can plant stuff in below the surface? Doesn't matter where I look there is just this cryengine water level below the surface where you obviously can't plant anything.

If all goes as planned, you will not need 6 if you are using derp but we will see.

Yes you should not use the mod unless you are going to check file differences after the patch which I intend on doing an clean look at everything to check and make sure and also remove what is needed an tidy up some things for the mod file wise.

Look in hasla, there is plenty of rocks you can use clipping with to plant in, but you do need clipping to stay on usually for most of them.

Sunkens and alot of other stuff is working as intended, it will take me most of the nite to dump the entire client an sort through all of this so please be patient with the mod since derp is much easier to handle since its just a simple update in memory since xl/trion are shit.
