Mabipake-esque [Release]

This is just my opinion but, wouldn't it be better to send the updates only to close friends instead of hundreds of leechers whom most don't even know there's a search function on this site? Its a waste of the creator's hours of efforts.

Sometimes you need to raise a fuss to get shit done. Often a few people alone cannot raise a big enough fuss to get a controlling party to pay attention seriously.

Marck's (stated) tactics are ones that have been known and used over the course of history, and they tend to work.

I'm not refering to the past stuff, I'm referring to this thread's files.

What does it even matter he released it, it's better than people searching and getting the one with the send hook anyway?

Because everyone gets it eventually anyway, the place where this was posted had like, 3 downloads last I saw, and was passworded.
I doubt most of the people who downloaded it could even get into it.

There's pretty good reason for not allowing even a recv pake to go public really, but the benefits apparently outweigh the downsides, in some opinions.

That's not always true. There have been "some" mods that managed to never reach the public. It doesn't make sense to give these people mods when some of them don't even know how to use them let alone can find the dam thread. Posting it here ensures that these kids get ahold of them.

But what do I know, I'm just someone that did their own research and got their shit working. I would think some of you guys here would know where I'm coming from.

Quick question, who gives a fuck? It doesn't contain the send hook and it's harmless as shit. And don't give me shit like "they can put it back in"
If they have the ability to put the send hook back in they have the ability to leech pake from the proper site or fix it each update :facepalm:

What I meant was that apparently that file I received was Yiting's creation, and had I known it was his work, I would not have released it, and none of this melodramatic stuff would have happened.

You should have just mass abused them yourselves in controlled environments instead of making people lose everything they had. There are still people who can't even play because of the shit you two release. Hell, if you release something you should release a way to counteract it as well so people won't need to worry. No, I was telling him I understand why he did what he did, genius. I'm actually surprised you took the link down due to the fact you weren't supposed to get the first receive pake that you released being you didn't even find it nor was it given to you, but you did anyway.

I wasn't completely true in my last post, you have been helpful to many, but your methods really did ruin the game and could have been dealt with better. So what exactly do you hope will get fixed by releasing receive-only pake versions anyway?

Maybe he is doing it so people can have stuff such as CP reader, ect...
Marck is a pretty nice person, and I don't think he even had a personal goal behind releasing it.

Myself, I do not have pake, nor did I even see the release he made, so he removed it pretty fast.
I don't even really want pake itself, I just simply want a patcher that can go around Themida(Pake is a nice sub, but eh...).
All in all, I only want CP reader and ect stuff.

Eh.. maybe I'll release something for it.. I have everything I need but it would require you to manually unpatch it (via a button) before changing maps. The pake he released still had this problem as well.

As smart as Marck is, I don't see why he doesn't just write his own patcher for the public if that's all he wanted.
