i will say again, why would a well stablished server like hivelocity lie to me?
and again, Aeria isn't the hoster, and choi and sonov are not the only one's, Aeria is too they are the copyright holders at north america

Okay so we ruled out hacking....back to what i was thinking earlier. Anyone could of rung up and said "Im bla bla from Aeria Games, i want the info of the server that Shaiya Rebirth is running on because its illegal and you could get a court injunction if you dont provide us with the info". How did hivelocity actually know that it was someone from Aeria ringing up? I thought that it was client confidentiality unless PROVEN that the client was actually doing something illegal. Just a thought.

How they even got a hold of your host name is beyond me. I mean do you publicly advertise your hosting company or can you just Google the IP and find out that way?

It could be a hacker, aeria doesn't have the right to close servers like I said.

And yes, a pro hacker can get away with alot of things before caught, so don't rule it out.

And Sonov&Choi Rock are the same company I think.

yes they are Sonov changed there name to Choi Rock

why would ity be a pro hacker tho. call me a noob but what the point of hacking a game if your gunna shut it down. people normall hack to better themselves in a game ... shutting it down would prevent people from playing it...who would want this ???

Our provider wouldnt have taken action if it was coming from a hacker. They basically told us our current status was on "Paused" and let me quote a message from Synyster (Hopeloz, co-owner) on skype:

and they received a judicial order, to PAUSE our servers and give full access to aerias games from US, and we havent received anything yet because they dont had our e-mails

My first thought is, is someone who was banned/etc angry at server. It does not take a hacker to learn host name, etc...

But then there is the thought, why would a company go as far as saying there was a legal order for pause to server. It would have to be from someone with rights to the game, otherwise they couldn't do anything..

Aeria games does have rights to US content, that they created,(including item mall/webmall/etc) other than that they have zero grounds to act on...

Definitely a tender topic, hope all is figured out soon. Thanks for info..

An injunction is an equitable remedy in the form of a court order, whereby a party is required to do, or to refrain from doing, certain acts.

Since its a court order then the courts should have a document on file Aeria games vs. so and so. Check the public records in that state. If no record is found then you can concluded Aeria game did no such thing.

Lol? Since when do they promote Game Sages to a Game Master position? Isn't Aeria Games an "In house" type of company? And you would need quite a bit of experience to become a GM. Looking at their forums, I only see 1 new Game Master GM StingRay and seeing BlueDogGravy's post on the last page with his Game Sage tag.
