Yea, i tried but didnt work, i turned on my CO client logged in and did remove effects, nothing happened, am i suppose to remove effects before logging in or what?
01/07/2007 00:58 mwaha#18
you have to restart the client before removing effects, and then again after restoring effects

CO parses the ini files on load up so it will still keep the effects..

so yeah restart needed when removing effects and restoring them

+K works great.

Is much better then copy and paste I too have been doing. Think you can add more effect removal? Try adding the removal of all other attack animations of other char's in TG.
So only your character moves, or even have the option that not even ur character moves. So it looks like all are just standing still.
Also, is there anyway to restore or remove effects without restarting CO client?

If you can make all char attack animations stop, that would be awsome!

Thanks for your work.

Assuming this is the same for every CO install, you could also try reading this registry key to determine the CO install folder.
(works on my pc atleast)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft&#0 92;Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\Conquer 2.0\

@mwaha > May I ask why your program is looking for 3DEffectinfo.ini when you first fire it up?
I was testing to see what your doing and found if I deleted said file it would say that it couldn't find it and ask if I was in right directory or file is missing.
I see you don't do anything to it when you remove effects, just switchs the 3DEfect.ini file.

Also to get rid of the arrows like I do, look in 3DSimpleObj.ini. Find this.
[ObjIDType10001]
PartAmount=1
Part0=952350000
Texture0=50000

Change PartAmount=1, to 0 instead and arrows are gone.
Maybe you could work that in to your tool somehow.

The original idea I had was to remove arrows also thats why i was checking for the 3DEffectInfo.ini, i just havent implemented it yet.

And since 3DEffectInfo.ini was in the same folder as 3DEffect.ini, i just left it in for validation that the user had set the directory path correctly.

Hope this explains :)

Yes that does.

But are arrows in 3DEffectInfo.ini too? I looked in the file.
I know there in the 3DSimpleObj.ini file though.
Maybe you could put the 0 in it, somehow. Have a look at address I gave you above.

Nah i think your right they are in the 3DSimpleObj.ini, i hadnt fully explored all the files, i shall be changing the validation for this on the next upgrade and also be adding the removal of arrows..

thanks for pointing me towards this :)

By any chance would any of you happen to know which codes are for the animations of others movements?
I want all other chars to stand still in TG, except for mine maybe.

Anyone?

Thanks this is a great tool and has really free-ed up alot of my cpu and ram usage! Appreciate it alot!

It would be nice to be able to turn them on and off without having to restart the client, agian, I'm not sure if it's possible but would love to see it if it is.
Also just seconding the idea of loosing the arrows but as you stated your already working on that.

For people that don't have this TRUST ME GET IT- if u want to have a few players in TG turn off the effects get them in TG//Market seller. Then turn on the effects, load your main charcater to play with all your effects...wow this saves ALOT of ram and cpu usage... Pin this and try this...you won't be dissapionted.

Thanks so much~!
